Debbie Reynolds and Liz Taylor renewed their friendship in 1964 and became closer than they ever were before. They appeared in public together many times, socialized, and it was Liz who enlisted Debbie to work with her on AIDS after the death of their friend Rock Hudson. In fact, Liz left Debbie some of her jewelry in her will. They were friends since 1950, were estranged during the Eddie Fisher years, and when Liz married Burton, she and Debbie bonded again. It was a very unusual and close relationship.
@communitas20248 жыл бұрын
Larry Mitchell It would be interesting to know what happened to Eddie Fisher.
@Zva268 жыл бұрын
Eddie Fisher married Connie Stevens two years after Liz divorced him. They had two lovely girls who remained close to Carrie and Debbie. This marriage also ended in divorce. Eddie Fisher than got into cocaine, and his career went into the dumper. Liz and Debbie resumed their friendship, were seen in public together, and visited each others houses constantly. It was Liz who got Debbie interested in AIDS work, and when she died, she left Debbie some very expensive jewelry. They were friends as teenagers, and except during the time Liz was married to Eddie, they remained friends until the end of Liz' life. Carrie Fisher adored Liz and Liz adored Carrie. Liz was very sick for the last ten years of her life and Debbie visited her often.
