Toledo Bus Rescue Day 1. Scouting trip to Toledo, Ohio and Toledo Area Rapid Transit Authority.

Thank you sir and to your buddies for rescuing these historic buses. I'm from Toledo, OH but live in New Jersey. I remember some decades ago I was at the garage when Tarta had some festival going on. I knew a couple of drivers, therefore I went there to enjoy the buses and ridden a custom Old look / new look. Basically they placed an GMC Old look front facial onto a New Look body frame. Don't ask me how they did it because I didn't even ask hahaha. I even get to rode it around the block. It was an opened air bus which is pretty neat and the bus sounded really good. Ex- Tarta Flxible New Look #407 I've rode many times as a young kid into my early teens before Tarta retired her. GMC New Look, Community Traction bus during that festival looked real sharp with a new coat of paint and inside looked decent. As the years went on by, I know for a fact the buses were lifeless and deteriorating. We use to have a Grumman 870 museum bus, but they've used that thing as a spare parts bus when we had the Flxible Metro B's and C's rolling around at that time. I'm just glad that these old work horses found a new home and have gotten some work by you all. I was wondering over the years if them museum buses were still there at the garage. I can't believe Tarta still has those Chance Coach Trolleys there. Them buses have been around since the late 80s. Again,.shout out to you team for rescuing the equipment and giving them a new home👍🏾

If these old buses could talk, the many people they have carried & the drivers who drove them, simply amazing. The design of the old buses were great with character vs now days alot more square. Thank you for sharing!

Blue fishbowl reminds me of the bus from Speed. Just don't try jumping that one lol. I like seeing these old busses!

just found a picture of an old look from Bay Metro transit, and i'm not sure what model it is, or really anything about it, but it looks exactly like this one. I know its a 30 footer for sure. can you tell me what year your bus is please? gives me a jumping off point for the research i'm trying to do. thanks

That was not was not a TC 2000 that model was just called all American we use a 1995 TC2000 in Cleveland heaven train
