Toledo, OH HOR SuperSirex Siren Test 3-20-19

Toledo, Ohio: Annual 3 minute test of the outdoor warning sirens in Lucas County in conjunction with the Ohio statewide tornado drill. This SuperSirex is the only active of 4 left standing in the city of Toledo. It is located on top of the PNC bank tower in the heart of downtown, covering everything from 5/3 Field, to my office, to International Park.
This is the highest I've flown the drone for a recording, there is a bit of turbulence from simply being 400 feet in the air, but the video turned out fine for the most part. I could not get much closer, I kept getting some strong radio interference, possibly from one of the 20 whips on the roof around the HOR. From as close as I could get, there is not enough definition to pick up the rotors, but its still an awesome shot. At the end, I pan around Downtown and the Maumee River, watch for the shot of Promenade Park see if you can find the ground camera. Austin and Tyler planted the seed for this recording on the 19th after a successful Indiana SWA day, so you have them to thank for it. Enjoy!

I don't know why I didn't think of doing this myself. I always love hearing the HOR , if I don't skip out of work to film in the county on the first Friday, I at least walk outside of my office to hear this bad boy (My office is one block beyond the big glass building seen throughout most of the video).

Well then I might make the two hour drive out in June to hear it or the P-15 for myself...NEO is bereft of ACA stuff at the moment save for the 4 Allertor 125’s from Knox Twp in Columbiana County I’ll be restoring and reinstalling later this year.

@@Memezjamez -- It doesn't rotate because it's rotator is broken. Not because it was from the nearly fifty-year Cold War era, where almost all Super-Sirex models were built. Some didn't have a rotator, but that wasn't a restriction of the era.

Dodson branch,TN has a HOR supersirex siren and it sounds healthy an they have no interest in replacing there siren it can cover 6 miles

No. Sentries are 8, 8/16, 10, and 10/15 port. This one is 9/9 port
