Enclosed Trailer Upgrades have been on my list for a while. In this video we finally get to some of those upgrades by adding epoxy on the floors and painting the walls. Hope this helps you if you decide to upgrade your trailer.

If it gets slippery just add the 4X6 rubberbacked carpets from home depot. Will be less wear on the floors as well. If in storage over winter just remove carpets so moisture doesnt collect underneath. Im hoping a gallon of outdoor porch paint will do for me. In middle of painting the walls white in my 6 X10 bike trailer. I will install wheel chocks after too

It seems to be quite sticky. Pretty pleased with it, not sure how slippery it would have been without the Anti Slip though....

Thank you Carmen! Due to the 3 coats of paint and 3 of epoxy, it took us 5 days. Much of that was due to allowing the epoxy to dry for 24 hrs before adding another coat.

Anyone else concerned about how long it will last? I read that it’s only good for about 3 yrs and that’s on concrete where there’s no flexing like on wood. Then what happens when it starts to crack or come up? I’ve heard you can’t just epoxy over it when it’s so old.

We did a garage with epoxy paint at least ten years ago and it is holding up fine. Spills are much easier to clean up versus bare concrete. It will fade on outdoor concrete, but inside it is good as the day we put it on. I’ve never tried any on wood, but it is tempting.

Some boat builders use epoxy to coat marine grade plywood for as part of the finish. Those finishes last several years under good use in the water. Think about the stress those hulls are under in the chop

I did a garage for my built challenger and all original 1985 iroc z28 with 5k miles and it started to peel about a 1-2 year later just depends on concrete on how dirty it is with stains but always gotta clean it real good new concrete it will last for a bit but get some good clear coat for it

The reason they don’t last long is because the concrete needs to be grinded to remove the smooth layer of concrete and grind it to where the concrete is gritty and porous that epoxy adhesion is proper. Acid etching will not achieve this. Our epoxy coatings last 25+ years.

Should of hit it with some oil based Kilz for the first coat(just a note for working with fresh partial board) one gallon would of kept the paint from soaking into the wood and would have cut your costs in half, sacrificing x2 $3 throw away brushes. And you'd have better adhesion and a longer lasting product.

Did you have any issues with the chips not forming into the epoxy? Or coming up? I did a coat about as thick as I would for paint on a wall. 12 hours they feel like they aren’t apart of the epoxy coat. Did I not do a thick enough coat of epoxy??

Looks great, but I've never been a fan of the color chips. It seems to me if you drop something really small like a needle bearing or something like that it's going to be really hard to find. Especially if you're on your back under the car. I think it would look just fine with just the gray color and the anti-skid. The anti-skid is mandatory just for safety sake. We have a new 20’ trailer like yours and I need to do this. We bought the trailer to use for moving across country. We will be moving some furniture and at least 4 vehicles over time. Actually according to Rustoleum, this product is not for wood. I called, they said for wood use the ployuramide Rock Solid. Much more expensive unfortunately.
