To add the Loopback Adapter to GNS3:
Step 1: If you have not previously installed GNS3 on Windows, Linux or macOS, please refer to the following videos:

Step 2: After installing GNS3, the first thing you need to do is add a Cisco Router or Switch IOS image. You can also refer to our video below to add the Cisco Router image.

Step 3: After adding the Router, you can connect it to your physical network with the Loopback Adapter using the Cloud feature.
Step 4: In Windows 10, open the Run window and type the command hdwwiz and click OK.

Step 5: When the Welcome to the Add Hardware Wizard window opens, click Next to continue.
Step 6: Select the Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced) option, and then click Next.

Step 7: From the devices listed in the Common Hardware Types window, select Network Adapters and click Next.

Step 8: In the Select the device driver you want to install for this hardware window, immediately after selecting "Microsoft" from the options listed in the Manufacturer section, some devices will be listed in the Model section.
Step 9: From the Model section, select "Microsoft KM-TEST Loopback Adapter" and click Next.

Step 10: In the Hardware to install window, you are now in the final stage of adding a Loopback Adapter. Click Next to start Loopback network card installation.
Step 11: Loopback Adapter installation will begin and will be completed in a short time.
Step 12: After adding a Loopback Adapter to your system, restart your computer.
Step 13: After restarting your computer, watch the entire video for configuring and configuring the Loopback Adapter using Cloud on GNS3.

Hi My loopback adapter is not working as dhcp server when i am sharing internet from wifi I have dhcp client devices in gns3 However loopback adapter is working as dhcp client if i create dhcp server in gns3

Hello, I was Unable to ping from Base Machine to Virtual Machine(Windows 10 & Windows 8.1) by using loopback adapter.. Getting Errors: Request Time out on Windows 10 VM & TTL expired in transit on Windows 8.1 VM But I was able to ping From Virtual Machine to Base Machine with same configuration. Note: Firewall is Off on Base and VM also.

I more or less understand the situation, but I have to try. When you plan to use multiple VMs, it will be healthier to use VMnets in the VMware Workstation instead of the Loopback adapter.

you cannot use 192.168.100.1. you should use the subnet in your own network. check the ipconfig and find out the ip address of your computer and find out the subnet and code.
