Thank you for the video Tolu, good job. We Nigerians don't know how to maintain things. This could be so much more beautiful. For the 1 million naira service charge per year, the roads, greenery and buildings should look better!!

Nice to see Eric Moore Towers still looking regale and well maintained..I wish the Nigerian government had the brains to replicate such estates all over the country.. Nice video as always..

I am actually impressed by the way they’ve kept Eric Moore towers in good shape. It still look like I remembered it as a little boy that love to visit my uncle and aunty in the 80’s. Thanks for sharing, it brought back good memories.

Hi Tolu, many thanks for this video. It brought back lots of memories. My secondary school is just about 10 mins walk from the tower. I had a friends that lives in one of the towers and lots of them in red bricks buildings called Games village. Most days after school, first point of call was usually the tower (5th floor, I still remember) before going home. Haven't been in that area in 30 years! And to be honest, the building and environment doesn't look to bad considering our poor maintenance culture in Naija, though they could have done better with that huge service charge. It used to be FG property, I'm sure it would have become an eye sore if not that it's now been managed privately.

Wow 30yrs down memory lane. I appreciate you for sharing the red brick buildings are still there... and you are right...thank God it privately maintained. I appreciate you for watching and sharing your priceless memories with us ❤️

Dearest Tolu, University of Suya did NOT start from/at Adeniran Ogunsanya or Bode Thomas although the Suya Joint at Bode Thomas has been around for about 40 years. The place that was first named ‘University of Suya’ is at Allen Avenue, right opposite the old Alade Market...& I should know because I(yours truly) was the one who gave the space concession to the Mallam the space. I was managing a supermarket called Monoprix Plaza in one the 3 storey buildings owned by late Madam Tejuosho at that time in 1985...& I thought 💭 of bringing in vendors in the front of the supermarket, to help boost our business. Hence I brought in the Suya guys, magazine & newspaper 📰 vendors and perfumeria. So the Suya guys did so well that folks from far & near started to patronise then So that Suya joint on Allen Avenue(opposite old Alade Market) was the first University of Suya Cheers 🥂

Great viewing of Eric Moore, particularly the apartment in the Tower Did you say it takes about 15 minutes from Eric Moore to Victoria Island? I grew in SL in the 70s & 80s off Babatunde, off Ogunlana Drive. Those were the days when Suru-Lere was the nerve centre of Lagos, at least that was our sentiments or what we thought 💭

Lovely video as always. However, the service company apparently is just pocketing the annual service charges. Cos from what I saw , there is a LOT of maintenance work to be done on the building itself. The apartment itself is very spacious for Lagos, and would be very lovely when bought and retouched.

Nice building complex, love the spacious grounds. Are these buildings part of festac 77 as well, given it proximity to the nation theatre? Only in Nigeria we say lawn Tennis, everywhere else it's just tennis, that one is a hard court tennis though not on a lawn/grass. Thank you.
@surpriserakins90672 жыл бұрын
Not only in Nigeria and 'lawn' is used to distinguish from table tennis
