No one's perfect, but from fighting skills to personality, I'm still struggling to dock Tom a single point on anytying. If he beats Blades but his subsequent fight is not for undisputed belt, the UFC is a disgrace. Jon Jones may be the GOAT but that doesn't mean the HW division has to stop being contested, in his honour. Tom deserves his chance to build his own legacy.

Not just that. The HW division is just less competitive. They don't need to hype up their fights to stay in the UFC. Aspinall spoke about it briefly in a podcast.

It's about selling the fights. Heavyweight fights sell without any trash talk because people always love to watch them. It's more of a struggle for the lighter guys to sell the fights, so they have to really push it. Smaller guys also have a harder time getting to where they are than the big guys.
