It’s actually more interesting than just that because in the same way Tom has a loss that no one really considers a ‘proper’ loss, Blaydes has a win that no one, including himself, see as a ‘proper’ win. As such Blaydes also has motivation to go and prove that he can actually best Tom. There’s huge desire both sides to override their previous fight.

Jon isn't the HW champion. Nganou won the title beating Stipe, then defended it against Gane. Then Nganou left UFC, and the organization "gave" the title to the fighter that lost the right to have it (Gane). The Jon beat the dude which didn't earn the title. Meanwhile, in the side of the HW fighters, the two ones with the best pedigree at the moment fought for the title, and Aspinall won. If anyone want the title should fight the owner, Tom Aspinall. Everything else is smoke...

Nganu was the HW champion and after He leaved the UFC the two contenders with better pedigree were Paulovich and Aspinall, which foght for the real belt. Gane wes neither the champion nor the best HW, so beating Gane doesn't make Jon "the HW champion". Just makes him better than the fighter which lost the match for the belt...

Important point re: who would headline, Tom or Leon - Manchester is Tom's 'local' city; about 15 miles from his home-town of Atherton. For this reason, it would make most sense for Tom to top the bill, just as Rocky would if the event was in Birmingham. On neutral territory - London, Newcastle, Glasgow, wherever - it would be a tougher call.

Chael, you keep bringing up that you would like Max to defend the BMF belt, but according to Sean O’Malley and Tim Welch, you don’t get ppv points for defending the BMF belt. You always said there is a reason Masvidal never defended it and that it’s bc the UFF didn’t wanna have to pay him ppv points so it didn’t get defended. Belal has only lost one fight in the last 15, one of the fights was a no contest against Leon, so they have unfinished business, he's on a streak and has beaten great fighters like stephen thompson, gilbert burns, and vicente luque to name just a few. He weighed in as a back up on the Leon/Colby fight. He's definitely next.

I hate this fight. It should be Blaydes. The problem with Gane is that i think Tom beats Gane but he can not beat Gane as easy as Jones did because Gane did not turn up at all. So when Tom wins a closer fight than people expect, Jon can fight Stipe and ride off into the sunset with the jones fans saying "See Tom never stood a chance" whereas the Aspinall Jones matchup is what we all really want.

Ciryl Gane is a pretty bad match to for Tom so is Curtis . Curtis was lighting Tom face up before he injuried his knee. Tom doesn’t have wrestling but more bjj focus. You need wrestling 🤼 against Gane to beat him or else he’s beat you striking from outside like how he was piecing up Francis. I see Tom losing to both of them if they fought. However it’s heavy weight only lucky punch can end each other. 😂

Ciryl has already fought 3 matches for the title. Three of his last five have been title matches, of which he looks to have taken a dive or phoned one in to allow Jon Jones to go around taunting Ngannou in to signing back for an ego fight. I'd rather see Ciryl get kicked back down and forced to wait in line again for 1) taking a dive. 2) getting 3 title shots al=ready 4) having not fought Curtis Blades yet. Make Ciryl get in there with Curtis Blades and see if he phones it in like many blacks do with other blacks, or if he really takes it seriously and rips Curtis's head off. Then he can be somewhere closer in line.
