As an American I always giggle at the slide ornaments Irish players do, that somehow resist sounding like blues inflections at all despite being nearly the same as what a bluegrass player would play!

As a complete novice, I would recommend anyone learning the banjo to join Enda's course. It is thorough, precise and entirely enjoyable. The detail is incredible!
