I was 12 years old in 2001 and now I'm about to turn 34. Brady's longevity is mind-blowing

Brady has had entirely different teams that he won titles with. Troy Brown was forever ago. Then moss, welker, Edelman, amendola, gronkowski, Hernandez. What a crazy career.

This was the year I went into first grade. Left college and he was still winning Super Bowls. Insane.

The commentator knew he was special. Said what he did on that last drive gave him goosebumps. That was a glimpse at greatness.

Troy Brown should have been a top-5 MVP candidate that year... He did everything to help this team win

Every Super Bowl I always watch it at my co-workers nice backyard. As an immigrant and not knowing about whose who in nfl, I always thought they are replaying the previous years nfl because I always see Tom Brady playing

This is one of the NFL's greatest what ifs. I think if bledsoe stayed healthy, Tom brady wouldve never been known to the world as he is now. Great vid man, love these!

Agreed.

Maybe not. Apparently though he was fantastic in practice..I think the following season it was at least on the table he would be the starter. Who knows though. Same goes for Kurt Warner when Trent Green got hurt..then ironically Marc Bulger when Warner went down. Sometimes an injury can just give them that opportunity they need

Wrong if you watch how he play in college you know he was already going to be great if Bledsoe wouldn’t have got injured there is still a chance he would have started because Bledsoe was actually sucking in most of his games and there is 90 percent chance Brady start for another team

Brady gets a "carried" narrative early in his career but these throws are insane. dude always had crazy arm strength and accuracy. Simply looking at box stats doesnt do him justice hes throwing rockets in this season
@erikpuka2627 Жыл бұрын
It was a different game and a conservative OC with the worst weapons in the league- they ran it on 1st and 2nd down and QB had to make a throw on 3rd and 6 + for ex. Stats started exploding when QBs started to throw on 1st down. 1st down is the easiest down to throw on. Brady in 2001 was easily a pro bowl level top 10 QB. Easily. By 2003 he was the best.
@emmacarroll3665 Жыл бұрын
That was the thing. You were watching these throws in the god awful quality of tvs in the 90s and 2000s and Brady’s throwing rockets so fast the tv can’t keep up and you’re like WHERE the fuck did this man come from? You honestly couldn’t even believe your eyes. And as a 10yo fan who grew up being told to expect the patriots to be awful and to disappoint you..and to witness THIS. It was absurd. It never felt real.

Man, Brady was slinging some bullets. So on target too, on some tough throws. He really loved Troy Brown who ALWAYS got open. People forget, though they had a good running game and excellent defense, Brady was a major reason they got to and won the SB. That’s a season I’ll never forget. I was living in the SF Bay Area, and I remember how angry people were about the Raiders losing (I lived 16.2 miles from Oakland). I think since time has passed, they are MORE angry about the Tuck Rule game then they were then. But that was a magical game, with all the snow and legendary Vinatieri kicks.

Patriots’ defense did most of the work that season but without Brady, it’s easy to say they would’ve finished the season unsuccessfully. That much I believe in.

I have been watching pats for years, but yes thats a myth, he just got older so he had to work smarter, but back then when he was younger, his arm strength was crazy, he had slingshots and bullets, and he moved faster laterally to me, and could run faster, he even knew how to actually catch properly here, unlike in the eagles super bowl
