Played this again after such a long time. I don’t know what it is about this game; it’s clunky, the driving is awful, AI can be pretty dumb, the mission objectives are rinsed and repeat on every province, and animations aren’t really that great, but there is something about this game that brings me back other than any other Ubisoft title. I think it’s just the unpredictability of the missions themselves and how you can tackle each mission. You can go stealth and wait till every enemy calls it a night, eats dinner in a barracks, or watches TV, or you could go in guns blazing, and an army of Orange dots of reinforcements come your way; maybe you call in the rebels, or Unidad nearby hears it and then it's a clusterfuck of Orange, Purple and Green dots shooting each other, who knows? That’s the beauty of Wildlands; you never really know how a mission will turn out. Plus, when you combine the badass customization and the very consumer-friendly way of finding gear and weapons, it’s a game I come back to and still have fun with to this day. Breakpoint was a monumental fuck up, but my hope for the next Ghost Recon is that they use the improved controls and animations of Breakpoint but in the open-world style of Wildlands. Maybe somewhere set in Afghanistan or something, who knows. Let me know what you guys think and what you like or don’t like about Wildlands.

You should totally check out Breakpoint. After they dropped that last DLC, the game completely changed. It's awesome. The mechanics are deep, the AI is solid and it brings back a heap of things that is part of the Ghost Recon lore.

@@moshymosh Mechanics are nice, but the missions are so messy and I can't stand the drones and futuristic tech stuff, it really irks me. I'll make a video on it if you want though.

Honestly, Wildlands and Breakpoint would succeed if Ubisoft made these releases with Passion and the Dignity it deserves since they always put Tom Clancy's name on it. The Gameplay mechanics aren't great, the AI is Stupid, Vehicles are meh. The only great thing this game had is Character Customization. Having DLCs with known Characters in the Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and Splinter cell series doesn't make it better.

Really impressive for a non euphoria game. Its really satisfying! Imho even more than vanilla GTA5 and RDR2, which is pretty sad if you consider whats possible by looking at RDR1 and Max Payne 3....

This game is so much fun. I don't see it as repetitive as much as just giving you a huge playground to do what the game excels at, which is taking down bases and guys however you see fit. Once I got used to the awkward driving, I couldn't think of any negatives. It's like if the bases from MGSV were expanded x100 and they were more varied. I was disgusted by the sound of Breakpoint and never even bought it.

Completely agree with you. I actually just got Breakpoint for super cheap, I can't stand it, lmao. The gameplay controls and movement are very nice and improved from Wildlands and it has great takedowns, but other than that, everything else is a pile of shit.
