What a man what a mighty man Tom Crean was, in around about way I have a connection to this great man, my 1st cousin is married to a relation of Tom Crean. This man along with Irish leader Ernest Henry Shackleton and their comrades will be remembered forevermore

Ireland is such a small country and has brought such a big hero me being Irish is certainly proud of Tom. And his Bravery his march by himself with just three biscuits and two sticks of chocolate shows the amount of bravery and how loyal he was👏👏

To get on Scott’s first expedition, he didn’t simply apply and board in England in 1901. He happened to be in the same harbour in New Zealand when Scott was down a man en route. The man in question had a fight with an officer and fled. Crean volunteered to make up his place at this late stage and the rest is history.

Tom Crean what a legend he was a man who was both a humble man and full of humility an example to every human being unfortunately wasn't given the acknowledgement he deserved in his living years only in recent years given the plaudits that he deserved Tom Creanr gone but not forgotten ➕👃.

Kerry County Museum had an event dedicated to the trips to the South Pole. Very interesting but very, very tough. I moan and get cranky when i have wet socks - i wouldn't have been man enough for that.
