Tom's so brilliant at being interviewed. How he pointed out the crash & injury Strom had, right when he was ending the show... He made a personal nap connection by showing he knew something that connected them, and he didn't care the show was ending, meaning he wasn't running away happy to be done... so personable and smart, an audience loves that.

Yeah helps him prove he's just a person like everyone else in the short time everyone is judging him :)

Amazing interview. Tom is as expected and nothing as portrayed. Respectful, professional funny and informative. Why people pay attention the negative publicity is beyond me. Who cares about his beliefs, or stunts on tv etc... he is a good actor and that is that.

I agree, I never realized how great he was, he knows how to make a guest feel welcome and comfortable, he's very respectful and not too confrontational. I like that.

You keep reiterating that we, as individuals, have "NO personal experience". I also have "NO personal experience" of the abuses suffered by people at the hands of other organizations and powers. But that doesn't mean that I can't formulate an opinion based on my assessment of other people's experiences. It is not just "a journalist" who has elucidated the abusive nature of the Scientology organization, but rather many journalists, critics, and former low- and high-ranking members.

I can see why George gets a lot of really big interviews. He as a way of asking really awkward questions so the guest can have some wiggle room and answer without looking like their being evasive while still answering them in a protective way. I notice he didn't bring up South Park at all.

@CatalitaRatz It's on a public space. I am replying to what you said about respect, for the third time. I'm not talking about opinions here either. Wow, brick wall. Ain't much respect coming from you, is there?
@Bumblybee25614 жыл бұрын
@CatalitaRatz Er no- you didn't specify what we should have respect for. If all opinions should be respected then why wouldn't you respect someone wanting to kill you?
@christopherawesome16 жыл бұрын
Haha, both. George asked the right questions with a respectful attitude and Tom didn't answer them in a way to make him look like a lunatic.

Great conversation and I like Strombo but with podcasts now this format feels so outdated and awkward. Trying to have an intimate conversation with a big movie star in front of a silent crowd is just weird. I'd like to see Joe Rogan interview Tom Cruise.

Magnolia FTM to Muscatine her prior urges Basher form of self. And it is not humanitarian there is bigotry for example no such thing as postpartum depression so stop arguing what is the best treatment birth is the mothers experience only and there is systematic abuse and neglect of mothers but she doesn't care about but he does care about a hypothetical kid on Ritalin catches this narcissist can't even tell you the side effects of it he cares about what the person with the paycheck and the most praise cares about.

MY MIND CANNOT COMPREHEND all of you who posts who don't care what he's involved in and what he's the public face of? HOW IS THAT EVEN SANE?! "hey, it's none of my business what he's involved abuses and has hurt and continues to hurt countless people as long as he entertains little ole me?!" i just like his looks or his movies or whatever!" REALLY?! REALLY?!.... for those of you who think this way and actually posts such thinking YOU THINK THIS IS QUOTE "NORMAL"... what's next? hey he shot 10 people but he didn't try to shoot me or anyone i know so i still like him!" who cares about anyone else, who care about those he has hurt!' REALLY PEOPLE?!.. he's laughing at you and you don't even know it!...
@deepanshugupta89183 жыл бұрын
You know why people say that they don't care? Because deep down they know that Tom hasn't harmed anybody in real life no matter what he's a part of. Scientology is evil but he's not. Tom may be gullible but definitely not evil.

Tom is a highly skilled actor and artist; and it is always a shame when a talented person's private life is allowed to undermine and subsume the great work he's done. Maybe studios should think first before allowing actors to become the focus of a movie's marketing campaign. Maybe it's a better idea to market the work, giving the audience a chance to enjoy the film and the actor's performance as it is, without the fog of gossip, prejudgement, or scandal obscuring what they see.

Tom cruise is really a great guy, and he really opened by eyes up for scientology, I thank him very much.

You could also say that I have "no personal experience" of the Rwandan genocide, and yet I won't stop "bashing" the perpretators of genocide. I don't have to be hurt personally by Scientology to speak on behalf of those who have. I may not be worth your time, but speaking out against abuse and deception is worth mine.

"If attacked on some vulnerable point by anyone or anything or any organization, always find or manufacture enough threat against them to cause them to sue for peace. Peace is bought with an exchange of advantage, so make the advantage and then settle. Don't ever defend. Always attack. Don't ever do nothing. Unexpected attacks in the rear of the enemy's front ranks work best." - L. Ron Hubbard, Hubbard Communications Office Policy Letter, "Department of Governmental Affairs", 15 Aug 1960
