Brian his religious background has nothing to do with him cheating on his wife. Having a religious background doesn’t make us better than the people who don’t. That’s what people miss, people assume that as Christians we are unlikely to make everyday mistakes compared to people who aren’t. I’m not saying you made any of these assumptions but as humans we are all in the same boat. Once we die we’ll all be judged for what we did in our lives and what we didn’t do. It’s obvious Tom is very religious so he most likely repented for that. I don’t know why he cheated on his wife but he’s human. We all struggle with our own sins and I hope he doesn’t pull anything like that again. Like you said he isn’t perfect, no one is. People really need to quit acting like famous people are above us, that they’re this god and they deserve everything good in the world. They are normal people like us, they never asked for fans to stalk them and chase after them to the point where marriage is ones goal. It’s crazy. They want to be treated normally and I really think as their fans we should treat them that way and with respect
@SeasonsChange144 жыл бұрын
He is very talented but I don’t believe that I would call him a “decent guy.“ He had a child with one woman but left her while she was pregnant to begin a relationship with someone else. He later married that someone else and then cheated on her. He’s now in his second marriage. Let’s hope he has matured.

Everything superior always seems to come from across the pond, it seems to me.

You are absolutely right, I had not seen it that way. He is very responsible with his work, that is the impression he gives. He had time to talk about his love for music and his background, how it all started, where he has his roots and what he is passionate about besides acting, which normally has not a lot of room in interviews with an actor as most interviewers just forget about him not only being an amazing actor but also a great singer and simply an amazing human being. before this interview i was a fan of Tom Ellis because his role as Lucifer (which is really charming lol of course) and now I'm a fan of Tom Ellis because his passion for acting and personality I just love his attitude for life and his enthusiasm for what he's doing you gotta back yourself for what you love, cause no one else would. Anyone with that never-give-up attitude deserves success.

I just LOVED Tom's statement that, he loves what he does and decided this is what he wanted to do and he convinced himself of a postive feeling that its all going to be alright.

Came to listen to Tom, enjoyed the whole interview. Fascinating to think of the voice and body as a musical instrument that needs training. I just take singing for granted. Learned a lot, will be looking for later podcasts as well. And Tom is great, of course! Could listen to that voice all day. Audiobook reader perhaps?

His voice is quite soothing. What audiobook would you have him read first??

@@LipRollSeries Good question! I agree with the soothing, so nothing too scary or thriller-type. Fantasy or comedy or combined perhaps? But honestly, he can portray such a range of emotions that I'm sure he'd be great with anything. What does he like reading?

Tom Ellis is a brilliant actor! He is so "open" as human being. Refreshing to see an actor who is open with his audience-and understands that movies and TV shows are a business at foremost-without the profits and mass consumption, you can not tell brilliant stories. Actors like Theo James can learn important lessons from Tom Ellis. It is funny that Tom Ellis plays the Devil and his REAL father, sister, and brother-in-law are Baptist pastors! I binged Lucifer every day for one month. Love the show.

Love Tom no matter what he does, but you can absolutely do both. acting and musical theater. Just ask Hugh Jackman!!

I think he was saying that the UK education system made him choose. So he could have done both if he was with a different drama school.

There is a video with scenes from the Lucifer series that are arranged and projected with the music included as if they were from James Bond. It is fantastic, really !!!

Great interview - as an (amateur) actor myself, I love hearing the interviews about their craft and how it evolved over time. Sounds like a great guy - many actors (especially successful or attractive ones) have a bit of an ego - and tom is a great example of someone who feels very genuine and committed to what he is doing. His comments on theater are very spot on - the organic live performance is one of the most incredible things and totally requires you to be present and in that moment - it was great to hear his take on it - would be awesome to do Shakespeare or improv with someone so genuine. Thanks for the video, excellent interview - so many seem superficial these days.

Fun fact. In the Lucifer comics Lucifer is David Bowie, like legit the author was like “draw him like David Bowie and of its not David Bowie draw it again until it’s David Bowie” to the illustrator. So. Yeah.
