I have no idea why anyone find this desert-to-the-face idea funny in any way - it's a humiliating attack on your dignity and personal space -, but at least Tom realised his mistake and learned from it. The same can't be said for most people.

With all due respect, it's just someone putting a desert to your face? I get that it is a violation of personal space but an "attack on your dignity", I'm not so sure. I mean what's so wrong with a little joke? Sure it's messy but like it's not meant to be an attack and a painful violation of person space. Some people have different opinions on different things and agree to disagree but I just don't get how it was so wrong.
