Picked this up today and super happy so far! It smells fantastic in the air! Its really reminding me of something i remember from long ago. I get really dry saffron up close and a beautiful vanilla in the air, its a real departure from the previous 2 in the line.

Thanks for taking the time to share, I have the original which for me will also be no.1 - picked up the new eau this weekend, like it but a little more spicy and as expected not as long lasting but I’m pleased with it. Plan to get round to the parfum as well in time, thx again!!

I can't wait to try (and possibly buy) Eau D'Ombre Leather as soon as we get it at Dillard's. I chose the Parfum over the EDP but I've had some second thoughts about that choice. The Parfum is sweeter, so I think it performs a little better on a test strip in the store. But when you give it a full wearing, the parfum can get a little saccharin. So it's kind of like the Pepsi/Coke challenge. Either way, I think everyone who enjoys fragrance should learn to appreciate leather fragrances. Ombre Leather is an absolute icon of the genre, so I think it's a must-have, either in the EDP or the Parfum formulation.

The Parfum is more wearable, is a more airy version of the OG. It performs well, people like it more up close and is easier to handle. The EDP seems like a "parfum version" of this release.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I was surprised when I did a split test on them to find the EDP last longer and being more potent than the Parfum. I also like the EDP more as a scent, so it's a no brainer for me.

I have lots of leather fragrances in my collection (including all the Memo Paris ones) and I can confidently say that Ombré Leather Parfum is the quintessential expression of leather, capturing its raw masculine elegance and sophistication in a bottle.

Sprayed Tom Ford Ombré Leather EDP on left wrist, Tom Ford Ombré Leather Parfum on right wrist from store. Went home, the wife’s nose went up for EDP 👎🏼, her eyes opened up smelling the Parfum 👍🏼. I also preferred the Parfum over the EDP. Went back to the store and purchased a 100ml of the Parfum.

I really love the parfum. I haven’t tried the new one yet but I kind of get the feeling based on your description of it that my favorite will remain the parfum. Guess I’ll see.

I really appreciated your review. I just got back from Nordstrom's where I had the pleasure of tryring the Eau D'Ombré Leather (or so I believe, due to the vanilla and amber finish on the card). At first, as someone who hasn't used leather scents, I was caught off-guard - in a curious and more neutral to positive way. Of course, I'm looking to add that deeply sexy scent to my line up. I've matured to the point where this will work for me, and not be out of place. I have to say it's extremely sexy, especially on the two hour note, as I'm currently smelling it. I believe you have to be like James Bond, and have a real confidence to pull it off. If you're not there yet, maybe leave it to the few of us who are, because it's not for the many.

To my non-expert nose this is essentially a lighter and slightly more versatile alternative to YSL Babycat from a high-end designer brand for $100 less, and I love it. It is a win all the way around for me.

For me the Parfum is just so harsh, Ive always felt it's Zaks Wylde or some rockstars scent. Smells to me like cars, tires, gas and guitars. The OG for me is so complex and beautiful. When you wake up with this fragance it smells very powdery, white floral, even kind of femenine, just spectacular.

Erica. On animalic, I only tried several intense animalic frags out of curiosity. Musc Ravageur caught me offguard on initial 1 minute if you know what I mean. You tried Prin frags ? I tried several and almost all are animalic and some very very animalic. I saw 1 had goat tincture note in addition to a few other animals like dear musk. At a store I put on 8 to 10 sprays of Fragrance Du Bois London Spice and 1 spray of the new Tony Iommi Deified. The Deified gave me 90% of the scent bubble the whole day !! That is the power of the Deified. I liked Deified and found it unique.

I disagree with the EDP being safe and a scent you can use at work. It is fairly strong. The strongest out them all. It's not versatile. Is not for everyone. And is the most challenging of the 3. And I can talk, as it is my favorite scent out there.

I agree with this 100%. I actually don’t like Ombré Leather. I’ve already tried the new Eau D’Ombré Leather and fell in love. Shortly after, I put the original to my nose another time and still felt negatively about it. I love this new one because it’s exactly what I want for the original - less intensity. Eau D’Ombré Leather is a much cozier, more modest leather scent, only this one starts coming off more like a suede-like scent.

One to two sprays of the EDP is ALL you need. It can blow out a room and be very off-putting if you over do it

i got a body sweat dry down from the parfum. I enjoyed the eau d'ombre, but it doesn't last. The original is still the best, especially when you're dressed all in black.

I don't care for the edp at all, maybe that'll change over time, maybe not. The parfum on the other hand is perfect for me, it doesn't give me a headache. I'll have to try the new one out next.

Just tested both Ombre Leather Parfum and the Eau D'Ombre Leather and I think im going to stick with Ombre Leather Parfum, longevity isnt there for Eau D'Ombre, and the dry down is almost straight Vanilla IMO.

Am I the only one who doesn't get leather at all in TF Eau D'Ombre Leather?! It literally smells like pumpkin bread to me. Sweet and creamy scent of vanilla and cardamom, but ZERO leather on me.

I guess it's true. I have many creeds and Parfum De Marly, but Tom Ford really got me. There is something about TF fragrances that excudes class, and prestige

i very much enjoy your reviews , Erica. However, as seen as in other Houses, the release of flankers shows (especially to those that had a few on the past) luck of imagination and inspiration. Also , some fragrances are made to be for "bad boys" . Ombre leather (the OG) was made for those and this exactly made it very popular. Now they strip off this DNA and they only use the name "ombre" just to sell something that appears to be not original at all. This is my humble opinion....

Sounds disappointing as usual with TF now. EDP is the best and wanted an actual strong version. Not like the Parfum which toned down the leather and added too much florals (made it more unisex). Boooo Tom Ford. You suck now.

i tried the new EDOL (thats the abbreviated form of it bc i am not typing that shit out every time) and i am sorry to tell ppl, it underperformed on skin. by 3 hrs it was a skin scent. yes i love the notes, yes it smelled great, but it didnt last as long as i would have liked it to for the money it costs. Glad i tried it at Sephora and didnt buy it. Prbly going with the OG, but still on the fence, hence why i am watching this video to decide which of the better ones i would get.
