I bought Tropical Dusk. I think it’s quite beautiful. When I first used it, I thought, meh! I received a ton of complements. I was asked what did I do to my eyes? They looked so pretty. I was shocked. Even my husband who, although he always complements me, said “your eyes really look pretty”. So, I guess it’s nicer than I thought. But, after playing with it I do like it. I must say I bought it in a moment of madness. I do like the peachy pink shade. Most pink shadows look horrible on me. I usually look like I have conjunctivitis! Bo Derek 😂. I do remember her in “10”. After that movie cornrows became a thing. Her look in that movie, in my opinion, made her look wide eyed and wholesome but sexy.😊

Yes Bo Derek from "10" (1979) slow running on that beach with the cornrow braids & gold swimsuit!! That film was before my time but I am such a film buff I know it...iconic!! And she's married to that hottie John Corbett from Northern Exposure & Sex and the City!! 🥰❤️

I got the island haze quad only and it's so pretty... The gold shade in it is fairly glittery so it's more of a topper... This quad looks nice on you... Almost reminds me of 80s super model makeup.

You put together an amazing look with this palate. I think for the price, it is a palate to invest in only if you’re going to use daily for every day looks and don’t have the basics. It is very pretty though for a TF collector as well

My dear Rebecca hello. Always such a pleasure to see you and your videos. I LOVED this collection. Everybody was so doubtful about it but I purchased the tropical dusk, the oasis highlight and the two lip balms and I truly LOVE them. There is a "je ne sais quoi" about them, a subtlety and elegance which makes you look very pretty. I would love to see you review the new Guerlain eye palettes if you can. I'm so undecisive about them. I love neutrals and dark browns but also I have so many that I'm not sure wanting to bite the bullet😝😝😝🤪🥰🥰

Tom ford is simply the best! Although sometimes I may think the color doesn't suit me, when I put it on, I absolutely love it. I really wish I have had discovered tom ford many years ago. Now I almost use everything from Tom ford, even tom ford makeup remover is the best among all I have tried. Seriously, no any other makeup brand can be even close.

I loved the alternate long title of the video! 😂😂 TF has a way of reaching back into our wallets! I had decided long ago I am not buying TF quads unless they are the creme formula or wet dry baked formula. Even so, I have had to hold myself back from this quad! TF has come so close to nabbing my wallet with this one. It’s the pink! This is the color story I wish I’d had in the Forbidden Pink creme quad. I like the quad and wear it a lot, but it’s not pink enough for me. (the quad was forbidden to have pink I guess) I think this look is very sultry! I like it! But I am holding firm and not buying it… yet anyway! 😂

Lisa! So much to say. Exactly. I thought that about forbidden pink too. Maybe it just meant that pink was forbidden to be used by the Marketing group? Too funny. Tom Ford definitely has a way of reaching into our wallets and, not that this is a conspiracy or anything, but I feel like they know sometimes that we say we are only going to buy the wet dry or the cream therefore they tempt us with something that’s neither. Again, not trying to be a conspiracy theorist but sometimes I kind of wonder if they mix it up that way on purpose. The goal been to addict us to another one of his formulas!

Oh Rebecca. You really took one for the team here I feel. I don't mean to be rude so I hope you take this in the spirit it is intended- but I feel it is very emperors new clothes. If it wasn't TF people wouldn't give it a second glance. The only people who I can see who possibly might want this is if they don't have a plain pallette in their collection. They like Tom Ford. Or they want something for their luxury holiday do Dubai or something so they can feel ultra glam. Now there's a place for all of these but cost of living - I cant imagine they'll sell many (perhaps they haven't made many). Anyway. Thanks for trying them :)

First of all, massive thank you for the lovely super thanks. It all goes right back into purchasing make up for the channel and your kindness is extremely appreciated. You know, it’s a funny thing. I was looking at the other quad and thinking how boring and typical it was and, I think I actually even said it in the video under my breath, it’s not like the one I chose was that much more exciting. It’s all been done before and it does feel like he is just putting out holiday pallets for Dubai. I do agree. I love the palette. It’s beautiful. But is it unique? No it’s not. Is it super Duper exciting? No. It’s not. I don’t know if maybe he just did the same type of colors but in a palette without the traditional wet dry formula? And therefore he gets the collectors that way? I don’t know but it was a massive element to what you were saying that is very truthful. Not rude at all. Just truthful.

I suppose also from a KZbin video it is very different to actually getting the user experience- even though you do always describe it so well. I look at my CT star aura pallette and I'm sure many would also say that is "nothing special". This Tom Ford palette is very pretty, and has a nice beachy vibe on you! I do like the colors in this palette, and I bet the other Soleil de Feu palette would look great on you as well! I recently purchased Tom Ford’s Hazy Sensuality and Golden Hour palettes, so I probably won’t pick these up. I’m considering getting the Nude Dip palette, and with these being $90 a pop, I’ll probably wait and purchase that one. I’m also curious to see what’s coming out this fall. If you have Hazy Sensuality, I’d be interested in seeing how that compares with this!

I picked up the new Guerlain! I actually prefer the formula over Tom Ford as well. I think that makes you and I somewhat in the minority. Pink sparkle sad, in comments, that Bo Derek is married to John Corbin from sex and the city fame. I had no idea. He must be younger than she is?

Rebecca, just when I think I'm the one with no will-power, you're just as bad! I admit, it was a nice look, yet nothing you couldn't have got from the Byredo Remembrance Palette or any rosy toned palette. That's what puts me off Tom Ford, apart from the price, is that nothing is original nor does it stand out. When you held up the lipstick in your hand, I shouted at the telly - "don't put it on", only to hear you say that you had but with some help of a lip liner. Looks so much better this way. I prefer the palette you got, the other didn't inspire me with that yellow gold. I much prefer a paler gold hue. Now, for my admissions. Just today I bought a Pat McGrath Mothership which she had reduced considerably more, the Givenchy Eye Palette in N9 - finally! and Lethal's Shimmery Glitters and Multichromes launched about midnight which I grabbed with the 15% discount that only lasts until July 5th. They're not L/E, but I wanted to get in on getting the entire Collection together with the discount. It's quite rare that Lethal releases Multichromes that are overtly dark, which is fine by me. A bit of matte shadow or crayon in the crease and smother the multichrome over the lid and that's it. How convenient - don't you love that word 'convenient', as I certainly do! So, we're both as bad as each other. The Givenchy N8 has still gone walk-about, but I'll do my best to track it down when up to it. Unfortunately, today wasn't a good day and I'm still in my dressing gown! I tried to eat, which ended up being the problem and suffered severe cramps. Still resting on my comfy couch at 0345hrs! Watching you in all your glory on the telly! Take care my dear and congratulations again on making 15k.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨
