Kai, As a gay man of 68, my life has been more like "trading innocence for company as Sir Cliff put it”, I never did have a love that one could light a candle to. By my late 30s it was to late, as for the past 30 odd years I have been severely disable with many issues that just deteriorated more and more as time slipped away, now I spend my life alone, living in a wheelchair, determined to keep my independence to the last. The last couple of years have been a bit bad - major heart attack needing stents, followed by a diagnosis of emphysema and COPD and then for Christmas 2022 I was diagnosed with inoperable cancer. Tom’s music does help every day. I REALLY Really hope you find someone to love matey I do. I am on the end of the runway now, engines are running and I am ready to RISE. Keep going strong matey.

Fantastic and heartwarming video! I agree that as I watched the video, I truly felt these were real couples. I was thrilled to find out at the end that they were. My husband and I celebrated our 2nd legal anniversary and our 29th real anniversary last month. I was 31 and he was 34 when we first met and both of us knew very quickly we were made for each other. Now we are 60 and 63, but our love for one another and our commitment to each other has grown stronger through the years. So we are definitely "More than Temporary". Thanks Tom for highlighting these long-lasting relationships!

Well, Tom - you did it again! Brought tears to my eyes...makes me think of Stephen Hill, my first love. We met when we were 16 years old at a camp fire in Upstate New York and got to know each other in a corn field beneath the moon and stars...that was 1980. In 1993 he died at the tender age of 29 from AIDS...but his memory lives on in my heart, mind, and soul...thank you for making me remember...love, Shane

Fifteen years ago today I got engaged to the most wonderful woman I've ever met after dating for three years. Three years after that (seeing no marriage equality on the near horizon) we had our commitment ceremony, and finally were legally married in December 2016. We will have our handfasting this June with our 4 grown children, 5 grandchildren, 6 sisters and extended family present. That was one long engagement, but she is well worth it.
