they are both undeniably beautiful human beings, but also what they are saying is put so eloquently and profoundly, you can see the passion in both of them - something truly rare and wonderful. What they are saying is so relevant and insightful, its apparent that both of them are completely invested in the story and also what it portrays from the gruesome reality of world war one. The deaths of the 8 million horses is appalling, this movie presents how we were all so blinded by the "glory" of fighting, believing it would be over before we knew it, to see the immense scale destruction happening to not only our species but to another; working the animals like machines. No better actors could have been used in their roles than Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston.

I know the majority of people watching this are here for the reasons of attraction. Not that I'm faulting you for that. The things they are saying, so elegantly, are absolutely amazing, staggering even. The fact that 8 million horses were cut down to service the attack on nations, is both disgusting and devastating. I understand that since the Egyptians ran the world, calvary has been important to battle. I also get that they serve a lot of the logistic needs of war. That doesn't mean that using them to that extent is anything but atrocious. I'm not a huge animal lover, but that breaks my heart.
