It really is ! Josh is the girl Thomas marries, I forgot her name. She thinks she's gonna have a great time but soon she has to ask herself: what the fuck is going on ? Also, of Thomas and Lucille, Lucille is the more dangerous one (or more intimidating). Thomas apparently really likes Edith (yeah I think that was her name ) and wants her to 'stay at the party', that means to survive, I guess, while there also seems to be a weird relationship going on between the siblings. Lucille wants to protect her brother , since he seems more vulnerable, naive and less cold than her. So yeah, you're right. (But I'm not really sure how the gimp suit fits into the movie haha)

I feel like there are elements of their characters in there, yeah. Especially in Tom being so sweet and gleeful and just like "I murdered a homeless man and I like eating kittens for breakfast :D" with the implication that both of those things are true. And then crying until the SECOND things go his way, when he's immediately ready to be happy again- on exactly his terms with no concession to anyone else in the room. A lot of people read Thomas Sharpe as this sweet innocent woobie, probably because he's more likeable on the surface. But he's...very clearly also a terrible person. He's not better than Lucille! He just happened to fall in love with Edith! (Also the whole "we're throwing a good party!!!" smacks of the Sharpes clearly thinking they're acting normal when really they are walking red flags the whole time. And in some cases, genuinely wanting and trying to be normal but just having NO clue how to do that since their upbringings were so horrible and isolated.)

Actually, I highly doubt whether Tom cracks up in middle of acting like Chris Evans . He's trained for theatre where NO MISTAKES could be made in acting , and that's what makes him an acting genius .
