Every thespian knows this, from the smallest children/school/improv/theatre groups up to the big stages... That's such a common warm up game. I learned this when I was in my first theatre group at school and now, 25 years later, I'm playing in Harry Potter and the cursed child and it's still one of our warm-up games. Love it ❤

@@macklinillustration At first you go in order so you know everyone’s number like Tom did here. Then Big Booty will call out a random number and that person can respond with another random number. For example, BB to the One and the One to the Five, etc. The way it gets tricky is you go pretty fast and keep a beat and when someone messes up, everyone’s number shifts in the circle (The One becomes BB, The Two becomes The Three, etc and the highest number goes back to The One). It becomes harder and harder to remember which number you are when BB calls you.

@@Kawaiikate01 The other issue is when you play it with someone who learned different rules than you. We never had a Number One because that was Big Booty. Numbers only change from someone who gets out, so if 8 messes up, they go to the end and BB-7 stay the same while everyone else shifts. The only way to get to Big Booty is to get them out. Sometimes there's a rule that you can't call the person who just called you. I think it's generally to still keep you listening and not planning ahead, so you can't just think "If I get called, I'm going to call 6." If 6 calls you and then you call 6, you're out.

They made it sound complicated lmao but it's just a basic call-and-response game that's about being in the moment and listening to each other - it's usually a warm up game for a cast before they go onstage. The first person is "Big Booty" and then everyone gets numbered off. You do the call and response at the cadence shown at 1:45. Big Booty: "Big Booty, #1" #1: "#1, #7" #7: "#7, #4" #4: "#4, #2" #2: "#2, #8" #8: #8, Big Booty" BB: "Big Booty, #5" ...

The game reminds me of the game where you say a word, the next peraon says your word and a new word, then the third person has to say all three words until the whoever can't remember the order. Basically a memory game. Used to play it in school, sat in the carpet corner 😂 Tom Hiddleston is deffo older in the head though, he is nothing like other materialistic actors, such a nerd 😂 love it.
