Watched the movie a few days ago through a screener and Tom is mindblowing, I mean just, indescribably good. Unfortunately the academy doesn't tend to favour young male actors, and with so many established award winning actors in the race this year and Cherry being released too late for there to be public buzz, or to be seen by critics in time to receive awards from other establishments, there's not a lot of hope for an actual Oscar nomination, although I do completely believe, and I'm sure many others will once Cherry is released, that Tom is fully deserving of the recognition for this role.

That was really a great interview because of the questions asked which focused on the process of filming and the choices the actor, directors, and DOP and other creatives make in their collaboration to build this film. I'm almost the same age as his father, Dominic and I'm a huge Tom Holland fan. He's such an incredible and very talented actor and it's easy to tell that no matter the character or story line, he puts everything he's got into each one. I watched, Cherry the other day and I was blown away by the movie and how amazing each actor portrayed their characters. They delivered from what I saw, a multi-award winning performance.

Branding "Cherry" to his well framed cinematic prescense straight away has a really good look, the best actors are really doing some beautiful work around authenticity and human struggles, I like it! The preview was really spicy and gave the feeling of a psychological thriller but lovely in the draw. Send it ... Thank-you so much guys, this ear' video was a great way to hear him describe the work. ....This makes me happy guys.. everything seems to be going really quite well.

No it's not only you, he looks so young, when I saw him first time as Peter Parker he looked like a 16 year old when he was 21

I sometimes feel like we have a weird picture of how people should look like when they are for example 24 or 25 because so many actors in film or tv series that are supposed to play people who are that age are a lot older. Same for teenagers in films, they are often played by people who are in their twenties. Don’t know maybe that’s just my thoughts but I am Tom‘s age and my friend are too and I don’t think he looks too young 🙈

@@seedreamsss THANK YOU! That's exactly what I think everytime someone says that actual teenage actors look "too young". They don't, they look their age. It's Hollywood who loves to cast people in their 20's and even 30's as teenagers, and thats why people like Tom appear to look younger. In my opinion he looks his age. I'm 23 too, and me and my friends def look way younger than the people in Riverdale, Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liers, etc.

@@melopea.lilymoon yes! And you could say that’s a huge problem :( when I was 13 or 14 I didn’t understand that and I thought I looked too young and not mature or even pretty enough. Teenagers are in a transition phase and they never look as mature as people in their twenties. It’s a false picture that Hollywood creates.

He has won a number of awards already. He won his first award for his very first movie, The Impossible. He won about five awards for the movie that year and he was about 16 years old at the time. He has since won a Bafta in 2017.
