TOM JONES - The Complete PARROT Records Collection 1965 -1977

Hi Gang. Here is the complete PARROT records collection of Sir Tom Jones. It took a long time to compile this collection as Tom's Parrot library is alot more complicated than Engelbert's. Several of his singles are quite hard to come by and it has taken me many years to complete this collection. There are quite a few obscure B sides as well as different recordings and LP art work. I say this collection is complete as it includes all of his Parrot LPs and singles although I am missing a few of the alternate covers. ("A-TOM-IC Jones"/"Thunderball) There is one correction in the video also, I refer to the "Close Up" LP as "Up Close". (sorry I was rushing thru the video to keep it short) I will continue to hunt for the alternate covers that I don't have and as soon as I find them, I will post an addition to this video. ENJOY!

Hi Marilyn, So good to hear from you sweetie! I tried to make this video as short as possible. I get bored with long videos. I think it would be impossible to go thru Tom's library any faster as he has sooo many Parrot releases and they need a more detailed explaination than Enge's. I couldn't break down the LPs as well as I did with Enge's. Just too many details and not enough time. Enge's LPs are basically the same as the english titles. Tom's are not. Take care my friend, CJ

Great video--I have "What a Party" in my collection! Not sure how a Nebraska farm kid wound up with one of Tom's rarest singles...but I've owned it for decades!

hi excellent collection and of engelbert as well I am a big fan of both artists, one thing I like to point out the singles I'll never fall in love the first one that cam out in 1967.it was the long version with the added verse. and the timing said 4:18. well I have that single,so I played it and that added version all those things you said was NOT on the 4:18 single, so you might wast to play your copy to see if that verse is on there because on my copy that verse was edited out.

awesome collection, I have about 25 45's, 10 are promotional copy, one of them is Land of A Thousand Dances -I can't Stop Loving You, live cuts from Tom Jones Live at the Talk of the Town, 2 lps, just different covers, one Parrot and one Decca, and most the lps you have, except for one that is Tom Jones Greatest Hits, Decca pressing Impact

Hi there, what a faantastic thing to come across such a great TJ collection and check what you have yourself... I have a r-r-really huge TJ collection and can hardly be surprised with anything unavailable, except for only one thing that I feel very upset: being overbid in that Ebay auction where someone with nickname "tcterry" grabbed "A-tom-ic" with the different cover you talked about.... And I am almost absolutely sure the guy who left his comments below about that LP is exactly the one who won that auction. As I remember, that LP waved me "bye-bye" for $148.00... Am I not right, Tom Terry?. :-)

My TJ collection is limited to just the classic Parrot recordings. I have some of the Epic and Mercury singles but I am really not a fan of the post Parrot years. I like the CLASSIC Tom Jones. My Engelbert collection is more complete as he has stayed consistant over the years and continues to record great music. I think Tom's music has changed too much. I believe the best from both TJ and Enge are the Parrot years. Truly incredible music and memories. Thanx, CJ

These are Decca recordings. Parrot was division of London Records which licensed London and Decca recordings.

Parrot records was division of London Records, which licensed Decca releases. This was only created, because Decca in the UK and Decca were different companies. Parrot was a name was only created so Decca UK releases would not have any legal issues. Outside the US for example Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Rhodesia (today Zimbabwe). These were released under the London label. In Japan they were released on the Columbia/EMI Label. In the rest of Europe on Decca.
