I've been taught not to look at color because God made us all. I think we need to know the history of not just African American enslavement but any enslavement such as the Orientals that suffered abuse so we don't repeat those things. Knowledge is power. However, no one who carried out those atrocities are alive anymore so we need to acknowledge that it happened but not use those things as a way to bring hate and bad feelings into the mix. It's a delicate line to walk. Much love to you and your family greg. I hope you all are well.

Agreed. Im a white guy, all through school i got the "Your people enslaved mine" bs and Im like...bruh both sides of my family came from the north...I have documentation that I lost relatives that fought to stop your ancestors enslavement. IF you go back further than that my ancestry is overwhelmingly irish...we were slaves. That doesnt matter though i guess because the europeans that enslaved the irish were also white so its a wash according to these people. Ignore the fact that 200,000 white slaves were owned by blacks in the south. Ignore that it was your own people that sold you in Africa. Ignore that white people didnt invent this shit like we get credited for. Ignore that by population white people (if you count all whites the same like we seem to count all black slaves the same) have been enslaved throughout history than ANY other race.
@delmarhi Жыл бұрын
@@masterreaper115the simple truth is that at the time of a of slavery in the Americas, it was world wide and all races enslaved. The navy and first shoos were commissioned by Jefferson to protect US merchants from African and middle eastern Muslim slavers. If you weren’t Muslim you were enslaved. White women being the prime target. The slaves sold to the Americas were Christian and pagan that were conquered and managed to survive the Muslim genocide going on in Africa. The Irish were originally brought here as slaves. When the white and black slaves began to unite, that’s when the division began. These days, they divide us by whatever way possible or they just invent something It’s going to take us all to overcome . Empathy fir each others suffering and a helping hand to get our fellow man back above the water

You are so right but are youth today is still being taught racism because of the news and older adults refuse to change both black and white but we are not going to get rid of racism completely that is just something we have to admit but we can get rid of a lot of it if we would stop living in the past and live for the future I'm not saying stop talking about the past but none of us owe anything to anyone one none of us or are parents or grandparents had slaves but we are all slaves to the government they are supposed to work for us but we really work for them they tell us what we can and can't do that's why we should be voting on everything not them it's supposed to be for the people by the people not Republican or Democrats neither one care about the people they just care about their party

Greg you really hit me with this reaction. When you said people get shot over they shoes...that's true. When I was a freshman in high school we had a basketball game against our rival school and one of the other schools student's accidently stepped on our student's shoes and he shot him. Unfortunately their student did not survive. Our student was then charged with capital murder. Everything in our lives changed. We were broken. Police then built their own office on campus and we were never allowed to play in any sport or extracurricular activities again with our rival school. It changed us forever. I just want all this to end. It breaks my heart that some people can't see that the government LOVES when we are divided. I'm pissed at the fact they can get away with it in plain sight. God we need your help. It should be us against them not you against me. Tom and Adam said it best. God bless you Greg!!!

I feel like black ppl are so strong and throughout history fought and struggled just to be treated as human beings. Even as a whiter than white woman in scandinavia, I have seen the BS going on in thr USA. Even more so after my nephiew expressed intrest in studying there. I want to tell him "don't do that. I truly believe I did not learn about racism from my family. I’m from the south. But I’ve watched black politicians use racism to divide us for years. Black politicians have had control of huge black parts of our country for years and none of the problems have changed in those places just gotten worse. This year all our money went overseas to help other people while we got children turning tricks to eat no matter what color they are. Politicians voted for that money to leave our shores and didn’t bat an eye. This is what needs to change. White people do not hate black people. Not any that I know….

As a white guy all I want to say is this not every one of us is descended from a person who partook in slave trade. Many of us are either newer immigrant descendants such as my grandfather whose parents immigrated from Europe after the civil war had been done for a long time. Other parts of my family Yes we're here before the civil war but members of my family fought on the Union side with one exception but that is more likely down to the state in which he was living in and more than likely conscripted him into service. Blame the ones who committed the sins but do not blame their descendants because those descendants had no control over their ancestor's choices. Has any good Christian knows there is a line in the Bible that says the sins of the Father should not be put at the feet of the Son. This means that though your father's grandfathers great grandfathers ancestors did terrible things it is not the responsibility of the descendant to make up for those actions. And in the same vein even if your ancestor did something amazingly good for the world it is not your act to claim you can show pride in your ancestor and sing his praises or her praises for the actions that they have done but they are their actions and not yours. We need to stop blaming people who had nothing to do with the situations that cause us all harm when they have no control nor responsibility for those actions or situations.
