He was just saying we elected a man who wasn't ever in the public eye for politics. He was a millionaire who walked the red carpet and just being a boss man for his casinos. Instead of electing a politician for president we went outside the box and elected a businessman. That's all he was saying. And also 90s rap were all about fight the power, know your rights, Family is over everything, ect ect

Trump is the GOAT and Tom does mention trump in other songs in a positive manner

In a couple of songs hes defended trump while criticizing biden. hes also been clear if he could vote neither of them would get his support. He seems to be closer to the right on cultural issues while not being of the right if that makes sense.

Rappers used to take about politics and social issues, now it's all about money, women and drugs. Tom starts conversations hoping for mutual understanding. Tom is usually accused of being in love with Trump - see Fake Woke or Cancelled or the more recent one Sheeple. Great reaction and conversation. #HOG UK 🇬🇧 here for it

It's not a bad thing. Tom is saying there's more important things to talk about than money sex girls etc including Trump, police violence etc

I think this was his 1st song to go viral….at the time…Donald Trump just got elected… police shootings and protests were the only thing on the news…and all the rap that was out…was talking about all the drugs,cars & hoes…..

Loved the conversation in this reaction - and agree with it all!! Eff the Bee! lolol 🤣🔥🔥 #HOG❤🖤 Have you had a chance to check out GHOST by Tom? It's a love song to Nova and hit #1 on the Pop Billboard charts for most songs sold beating Taylor Swift and Sam Smith. And the line about Trump, no, it wasn't a slight. I take it as saying there was a lot going on in the Country that got Trump elected, so let's talk about that rather than talking about drugs and other things that they're rapping about. I voted for Trump twice and a lot of #HOGfam supported Trump too. But, that was a legitimate question when first hearing him say that in this song.

So this was at a time when the news was having a constant cycle of trump hate, now this is MY OPINION I haven’t heard Tom say this. But I seen a shift in toms music to where it seemed like he started to see through the bs and then started calling it out in his music, he has stated that he falls in between the parties but also recognizes the right is the one trying to preserve freedom. He brings it up again I’m “white trash” him and mad child are both fire on that track highly recommend! #HOG

TRUMP 2024. His thing about Trump was simply that Trump was polarizing and rappers used to hit those topics. Political corruption, the system, the police. Important shit.
I think what he means is, there are more important things going on in this country to talk about and take care of then the things these rappers are promoting like guns and drugs and women.

Tom is someone that’s more in the Centre and although I don’t think he loves Trump, I think his point is more, you have these important events going on in the world, things that Rap would always comment on in the OG days, but now it’s all about flashing cash and drugs :(

Honestly my take on the trump statement. I don't think he was taking a shot at trump himself, more so society. Where enough people had enough of the same crap in the government that they said why not? And I don't honestly feel trump did a bad job by any means. Honestly better than what's in there now. Much love. New sub.

The Trump line was a call to look at the state of the union. As a conservative who didn't vote in 2016 because I looked at both Hillary and Trump as a joke, I believe that that is what he was pointing at a year after Trump was elected. "How did we come to a point as the most powerful/influential country on this earth, that we're electing a reality TV show icon/business mogol as the leader of the free world?" Thank God Trump wasn't a politician. Unfortunately MSM and career politicians got control of the minds of masses, and now we're stuck with this clown show

I had the same reaction when I first listened to this song. But analyzing what he's saying, he knows the rap community in general are NPCs who hate Orange Man Bad because...rararaycisms and stuff. So Tom's essentially saying it's not like y'all are lacking content to speak on.
@EFamilyMedia Жыл бұрын
Oh ok, man I took it so different! Thanks for the breakdown! 💯

@@EFamilyMedia NP. That's my conclusion based on the totality of his words and lyrics that I've been exposed to. I don't think he particularly likes Trump, though I think Tom's nature is to distrust all politicians. Regarding the Orange Man specifically, in his song Brainwashed he says 'Censoring the president and kicking him off Twitter is a bigger threat to freedom than foreign ballistic missiles'. He also did a 45min interview with Laura Trump (he's also been on Glenn Beck, Fox News, The Officer Tatum and Michael Knowles, that I know of). And he did a song with Madchild called White Trash in which his opening bars succinctly sum up the song's message: "This is for my white trash, the ones the whole world hates / The ones who voted for Trump, got labeled racist but ain't / The ones with ballcaps, Make America Great / Who love their country to death, struggle on minimum wage". On his newest album he has a song The Machine (amazing track btw) in which I think sum up his overall views pretty well: 'I'm not Republican or Liberal, or left-wing or right-leaning / I took the red pills cause that's what's fighting for my freedoms / And you don't need to choose to be accepted they build fake teams / Evil runs the world now like hell ain't got no vacancy.' To which I can't say I disagree lol.

#HOG in the 🏠. Tom is not using the Trump bar as a diss to Trump, but is a statement saying I could handle what you rapping about if you rap about ANYTHING in culture that could spark conversations, but to be promoting alcohol, drugs, gang banging and just being negative and demeaning how you talk about the community, your disrespecting the history and not being a positive influence on the community.
@troycromwell5270 Жыл бұрын
Forget about what Trump did. I don't think thats what he was going for. Our country is in such a bad state where someone like Trump can come in and get elected over a career politician. Meaning there is a lot more to talk about than drugs, money and women.

Rgd. Trump... he didn't say that it was good nor bad, he just mentioned it, because the fact alone that Trump was elected (not a politician and controversial media-persona), as well as the fact that there is a lot gun violence etc. would be things that Rappers could use for their music. Because that's what Rap used to be... touching on political and social issues. But in the last decade or so Rap has degenerated to party, money, sx, drug abuse and objectifying women (and men btw.). Tom's just making the point, that they would have so many interesting and relevant topics to rap about, but choose to go with all this superficial garbage.
