First off, it's kinda hilarious how the song's all 'people these days play the victim too much,' but then immediately turns around and does the exact same thing. Talk about irony. Imagine being so triggered by other people living their lives that you write a song about it... 'Let's all rally under the American flag,' but in the same breath, it's 'I don't care if I offend you.' That's not exactly the right vibe you need for uniting people. About the whole police defunding thing - where's that even happening for real? After all the noise since George Floyd, it seems like not much has actually changed with police budgets... The gun talk is all over the place. One minute it's 'we're not about pushing guns,' and the next, it's like 'you need guns to protect rights.' So, what's the deal, are we pro or anti here? Also, acting like you're on some moral high ground just because you're not rapping about the same stuff as others doesn't really make a big statement. It's more about what you are saying, not just what you're not, right? Ben straight up calls Lizzo fat, which (while unhinged and kinda hilarious) is not the most 'moral' statement.
