Man I respect your opinion but saying it's a genre of "white rap" for "white people" is the exact reason we're facing the issues we are at the moment, it's just like all that recent Eminem drama with everyone saying he doesn't belong in hip hop because he's white, you can't sit there and condemn people for saying that when you say a guy rapping about societal issues is a white person genre because the dude happens to be white, it's such an odd statement. When did music have a colour? This is exactly the sort of thing Tom and others have been trying to scream out for years now, we need to remove the labels and realise we're all human, we're all in this shit together and the longer we continue to label things we'll continue to unintentionally self segregate.

So what's the population made up of blacks to whites? Well its more black citizens than white so yeah common sense is there would be more altercations for police with black citizens than white ones. As far as fatal altercations with police, the stats should include what percentage resisted arrest and didn't comply compared to what percentage did comply. The past year would have been alot different if in all these high profile cases the person would have just complied. What is so hard about that? I've been arrested before and I complied, it wasn't that hard. If you want to research real statistics. Look them up for the past year for the whole country not in just large metro cities. There's a big part of the country that doesn't live in the cities. To have true figures you have to include the whole country. In my humble opinion I think it's super important that we view this song as less about taking shots at other artists and other people and more about taking shots at the "system"! It's the system to blame here! It's the system that has put us in a place in this day of age of acceptance for things that would never have been accepted even just 10 years ago! Things like propriety chivalry prayer in schools you name it it's all been completely perverted and I think it is absolutely amazing that someone is willing to put their self out there to exploit it for what it actually is! This world has truly in a lot of ways become a very disgusting place especially in the West.. Ask yourself this question and really ponder it for a moment... What would this world be like today without the internet! What would this world be like today if more men raised their sons to be men, raised their sons to treat their mothers and all women with respect! What would it be like if more parents actually "raised" their children in this day and age! How many people actually sit down as a family for dinner and talk about their day in this day and age? How many parents actually spend valuable time investing into their children in an effort to build them up and tell them how much they truly love them and how proud they are of them regardless of any accomplishments they have or have not had in their life?! These are the questions I ponder daily and these are things I fail at as a father myself regularly! I'm 44 almost 45 years old I have older children and grandchildren and I am still raising children with my wife now in our home. I tell you who I fear for the most ... I fear for their children! What's going to happen with the song like this is it's going to become something that is spun as controversial it's going to be spun as him taking hits on other artist but that's not what this is!... what this is is just the damn truth! I apologize for the length of my rant and on a side note I appreciate your reactions. Take care and God bless

Don't forget about raising daughters to respect men and masculinity and being a little more modest. The internet is a tool, like money or a gun. You can use it for good or evil. Sin proceeds forth from the human heart. Even then, we make choices - to love and bless or to hate and curse. There is a lack of reference for the Creator - the source of love. Godlessness is humankind's problem now. Darwin has been forced upon our children for how long now. It's no wonder we act more selfishly and like animals. We are not primates. We were once humans that once believed we were meant to bear the image of God. Now, we act less human and less kind. Jesus is the solution.

Tom MacDonald pokes you in the eye to wake you up, but his message is one of unity if people can see it. From all the interviews I've seen of Tom, he absolutely wants his music to reach everyone. He doesn't purposely write it for only one type of audience. He states that the only outcome he really wants is to get people to talk to each other more.

Great reaction ma mayne. Only input I have is that Tom reaches everyone of every ethnicity, not just whites. And so called "black rap", especially real hip-hop and old-school-rap ie. boom bap (not this new shiat that Tom bashes like mumble rap and rap that has no substance other than bitches, money, and possessions), reaches a lot of whites. Can't box things in like that. Keep up the good work brother, I'm a fan.

I don’t think you have to be a “specific” race/ethnicity to listen to a type of music or sub genre of music. Liking and Listening to India Arie doesn’t make me a soulful black woman, nor does skipping to the next song by Kat Dahlia make me a Beat Wrecking Latina. It makes me diverse. Diversity is what we should promote daily. I think being and staying diverse helps each of us relate to one another and helps our children understand that being diverse is what break ups these types of stereotypes. The core of you determines who you are and that is what matters, not what beat your jamming. Make good choices and recognize that only you are in control of you and the decisions you make whether verbal, mental or physical, at the end of the day only you will be responsible for those decisions. Now let me hop off this soap box and go jam some Lil Flip This the Way we Ball 😂🤣

Context is important. If we're talking about someone who had a bad take 10 years ago, then yeah, fuck off and stop TRYING to find dirt on this person. But if we're talking about actual predators, like Kevin Spacey or Harvey Weinstein. Then no, continuing to turn a blind eye is not the solution. People like that deserve to be cancelled at best, at worst in jail.

The facts either support what you think & say or they don't. If what anyone thinks or says isn't backed by facts & reality, it isn't the truth. "My truth" is a saying/excuse for people to cling to opinions that can be destroyed by facts & reality.
