I cry harder every time I listen to a reaction to this awesome song. I start off wishing it had been written when I was in my twenties, then I realize I made it to 62 because I'm a fighter....and the tears start falling when Tom's words tell me I'm worth it ... and perfect just like I am. I recently lost my uncle who was more of a older brother than an uncle to me. I found out right before listening to this song today that my mom had a stroke. I worked with someone today that got me to open up. I told him how even though I quit drinking years ago how I have been so tempted. See lately I’ve gone through so much emotional pain and I just wish I didn’t have to feel my feelings. Crying at unexpected times always feeling on edge. Doubting everything in my faith. Been feeling unworthy. I get in my car and thought oh Toms song should be out now (East Coast time) . I knew the song was called fighter so I’m ready to hear a dissing haters song or something like that. I play fighter and cry like a baby, it was as if God was talking to me.
