Not so Fun facts about Tom, former professional wrestler. Former construction worker (that's how Tom creates his own sets). Former oil rig worker, and rumor has it when Tom was living in Crenshaw, and South Central he was flipping cars for side cash. Just after his alcoholism 15 months, he fell into depression, and anxiety.. He had a phonecall with his mother that was subliminally sui cidal. She called Brandon Hart (his best friend and fellow rapper) to break into his place, and take him to the airport). There he went back to live with mom where for 9 months where he contemplated ending it. 2 times in his life when Tom was homeless, Brandon put him up to live on an air mattress. After Tom snapped of it, Tom had a brain cancer scare only to find out he had a deviated septum that caused his migraines. Once Tom knew he was ok he answered Nova's calls for him to come down to Crenshaw, that after her being fired from her label, that she was drinking too much and she was being depressed. Tom left Canada and went back into that darkness to rescue Nova. There they created a rock-n-roll band together called GFBF (girlfriend boyfriend). That was right before Tom blew up off of the track 'dear rappers'.

Dang, I learned more about him and I thought I knew all there was to know. As well as one can know about an artist anyway. That is why ppl love him because he's relatable and doesn't pretend to be anyone else like most do. Some people think Ryan Upchurch is so real and relatable but it depends on the day. His last video I watched was the future of the Country Rap Genre where he acted like all that drama was dropped because he cares about the up and coming artist. He said he is gonna take charge because someone has to and there be one channel they all post their music on and certain reactors alternate on reactions and it doesn't sound to me like it will help anyone but him. Plus he claimed everyone had fault in the drama which is CRAP, it was him and now it all makes sense to me. Maybe I misunderstood what he meant but he spent 5 months telling anyone who would listen that Tom is fake but Tom is the realest. Sorry for the rant but when I think about it I get irritated. Tom had a diss battle with Mac Lethal like 5-6 years ago, as he says in this song, he doesn’t do disses no more. Mac Lethal Sucks is worthy of the starting tune that lead down this path. Instead now he collects about a years worth of haters comments and disses them all at once. He did a tune called Whiteboy that got him hate, the response to the haters on that one was called This House. #HOG in the house. You are asking alot when asking for a song harder than this. Probably songs coming from the same place of addressing haters. The 2 closest in my personal opinion are No Response, Don't Look Down and This House. All with no hooks, all bars, lyrical and musical genius, and raw passion. Don't forget his girl Nova who produces and edits all his vids, who is an accomplished rapper herself. Recommendations are Hey You, Problems with the flip flops, she has also done a couple of collaborations with Tom, with Adam Calhoun called Chrome...highly recommended not political, Mad Child called Bad News...and Brandon Hart, Tom's best friend in Old Dirty Bastards...none of them political. Nova and him also were going to form there own band called GFBF Girlfriend, Boyfriend...mu favorites being Rejects and Phonecalls. Tom has a large catalog, very diverse, and most of it bangers. Here’s some of what I know that Tom has done with his money. His first check from Tunecore off of “dear rappers” was 10 grand and he use that to invest in new equipment and got a better place to live. Then I know that he bought his sisters wedding gown a few years later, which was 10 grand. Then he paid off his parents mortgage so his mom and dad could retire. He bought all new appliances for their house and sent his mom a LV purse loaded with 100,000 to boot! Tom also got his dad a boat and paid for his dad to go sailing the ocean. He also paid for his dad to visit Nepal. I also know that on two different occasions he had a big sale for “ALL” funding to go to veterans charities!! Over 330k combined!) He also added his sister Jenna Emily (hence the “Emily” tat above his eyebrow) to join his production and quit her job as a nurse in Canada cause it was keeping her depressed and upset so she gotta work visa and moved to the states! More recently, he bought his dad a new Porsche this past Christmas and got his sister one for her birthday!! Who else does that?!?

A little background on the Mac Lethal beef: It all started with Violent J's (ICP) messages flirting with Nova and RA being friends with Mac saw it as an opportunity to bring Mac's name back into the limelight though that's def not the light he ended up under. The whole thing went like this: Tom released "Straight White Male," and Lethal started crap on Twitter. 1) Lethal Injection - Tom's response (diss) to Lethal's tweets 2) Single white female - Lethal (Crypt and others actually wrote this)(He took down the video but I found it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIObiK17htmioaMsi=TKK-7P7rb8PVT2Qv ) 3) Mac Lethal Sucks - Tom Aftermath: 4) Mac Lethal Sucks pt 2 - Lethal 5) I'm Sorry - Tom Crypt knows he's been caught, so he knows he has to carry through: 6) Crypt Cypher vol 2 - Crypt 7) No Response - Tom (The paddy cake was directed at Crypt. He set up his booth in his closet at the time lmao.) 8) Rapping from my closet - Crypt There was a whole bunch of Twitter smack talk. In the aftermath, Tom decided not to give them any attention directly because it only helped their numbers. Here are a few involved. The guy he mentioned wrecking at the beginning is Dave "Mac Lethal" Sheldon (I never heard of him before his beef with Tom). It all started in 2019 when Tom dropped his song/video “Straight White Male”, a satire of the hate and derision faced by individuals who check these boxes in today’s hyper-P.C./woke culture. Dave was clued into the KZbin hit by associates that he and Tom shared in common, apparently prefacing their suggestions with something to the effect of: “You should check out this other white rapper who has ‘Mac’ in his name, he’s blown’ up!” Dave, evidently didn’t think much of Tom’s song and made a point to say so with a now-infamous Tweet disparaging the message in the song (apparently missing the point that is was satire) and attacking Tom personally. Tom replied by pointing out Dave’s lack of relevance/popularity as well as the fact that he’s sold-out shows in Dave’s hometown, TWICE. From there, more Tweets poured in from individuals stating that they were fans of Dave’s and Tom’s and found Dave’s attacks to be so off-putting that they were going to leave him and go over to Tom exclusively; the exact numbers aren’t clear, but what was clear was Dave’s KZbin posts of his songs/videos are his primary source of income and when his fans started jumping ship, his finances began to suffer… severely! Dave replied to Tom by issuing an obvious “sorry, not sorry” in which he claimed that his original Tweet was directed at somebody else; neither Tom nor anyone else believed him. Tom’s next response was [a bait track/]first diss titled “Lethal Injection (Mac Lethal Diss)” (kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJW7eHiBfc6nrck) with a video that he dropped on KZbin (the beginning featured the Tweets they exchanged leading to the song); at a hair over 3 minutes, it was done with a slow tempo and clearly-stated lyrics that made it abundantly clear that Dave was not only out of his league, but also out of his depth. Tom attacked Dave’s age (even though he’s scarcely 7 years older), his drug addiction (a risk/potential ammo, given Tom’s own history with substance abuse), the phoniness of Dave’s celebrity status, his irrelevance, lack of talent, and how he should put his energy into raising his daughter instead of engaging in an art that he has no objective talent for. 3 weeks later, Dave dropped his response titled “Single White Female (Tom MacDonald Diss)” (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIObiK17htmioaM); the turn-around time led many observers to question if Dave had even written the track himself or shopped the job to other lyricists (he had, his ghostwriter was the reactor Crypt (he and Tom are on good terms now)). The diss ran like a slew of insults from a pre-teen boy who had just discovered swear words and internet porn; he attacked Tom’s Canadian nationality (as well as his love for America), his anti-woke messaging (equating Tom to an SJW), insinuated that Tom is a homosexual, attacked his time on the Canadian pro wrestling circuit, and - as a result of completely misinterpreting Tom’s mentioning of his daughter as a diss against her personally - fired shots at Tom’s girlfriend, Nova Rockafeller (herself a former industry rapper who was part of Def Jam Records and had her music featured in the 2015 teen comedy The Duff as well as Dancing With the Stars and Bad Girls Club before getting burnt-out by the industry and left it to become an independent artist (how she met Tom)). Less than 72 hours later, Tom dropped his response “Mac Lethal Sucks (Mac Lethal Diss #2)” (kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGOQfJ-ErMiHms0); at more than 5 minutes, there’s too much to unpack in this diss, so suffice it to say that Dave’s response to it, “Mac Lethal Sucks Pt. 2”, was FAAAAARRR more subdued (kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJC0apd4bL6XfKs). For my money, Tom emerged from their beef victorious, as evidenced by his next song “No Response” (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYTafpeNr8aUp68); while it might seem ironic/hypocritical to write a rap about being so far above the haters/critics/“competition” about not needing to respond to them, it does serve as a nice “bow” to finish off this era of the “Mac Lethal/MacDonald feud”. I hope you enjoy. P.S.: the reaction videos by fans to this feud are entertaining as fuck, and even occasionally educational for pointing out some things that may not be immediately apparent to those who don’t follow the “game” so closely (KZbinr “Nick the Actor” offers pretty good reviews/analyses of [most of] these songs, as does Mello Reacts, who knows the most about the feud of any reactor I've seen).

This is his longest song so far. It was originally 10 minutes, but he shaved 1 and a half minutes off of it, probably because of people's lack of attention spans. It depends on what you mean by better because all of his music/art is dope because he's lit (middle fingers flippin,' I can't flip 'em back).
