Just like Kidero, Millicent Adhiambo, and the Rusinga and Mfangano islands inhabitants, Tom Mboya was from Abasuba tribe but not from Luo. Abasubas have since been asmillated by the Luos . Remember Millecent Adhiambo has contributed a lot in writing of Abasuba dictionary.Tom Mboya was a great Pan africanist, at the age of 32 he introduced a bill for the minimum presidential age at 35.,he was preparing himself for the 1969 general election( he was 39 above 35yrs required). As Economic and Planning minister, the Kenyan GDP was above the Asian giants, the likes of Korea, Singapore etc

The current young generation must see a need to learn more about our history of how kenya came to be and the struggles sacrifices our people went through to fight for independence where yet to achieve our goals as Africans in whole the need to fully have schools teach only African history is of utmost importance,as most have little or no knowledge of how far we've come.

Tom's father Ndiege was from Asembo kanyigoro in Siaya county. He married a lady from kamasengre. (Marcela). Tom was always referred to as OKEW KAMASENGRE OR OKEW GODHIAMBO. Marcela, Tom's mother was an inhabitant of Rusinga Island -kamasengre. He therefore had both Luo and Suba blood like many in the present day Siaya, Homa/bay and Migori counties.

At 39, the guy had achieved all that. For instance he'd lived up to age 70, what kind of history could he have made. One thing I picked, the guy got married at 32. Back then when others could get married at 18-20, so I'm not late at 31.5 yrs. @31 yrs with no history 😭
