Who has that kind of determination anymore? "Hey we're gonna start a band, who's in?!". So epic!

Except now, rather than learn to play the guitar, kids spend all their time learning how to use pitch correct.

I honestly believe if RATM would have performed their scheduled Coachella show last year that they would have even more spurred in to the younger generation that may not be fully aware of them. I saw Rage in the early mid 00s when they came back, in fact it was during the republican national convention before the 2008 election and so when the audience left the target center there were legit riot guards surrounding the entire venue and making sure people don’t “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” for real. But before the show was over Zach De LaRocha said to not be violent when we left and to peacefully demonstrate if anything and to not play into their hand of violent rhetoric. It was a beautiful show! Hope to see them soon

Sounds exactly like me and my first band. Nobody knew anything. I had vague idea of barre chords so I came up with the lamest fucking barre chords progression and we played those three chords on an infinite loop for about a year straight before anyone got any better.

You can tell how much times have changed when you just go up to a class and say raise your hand if you wanna be in my band nowadays people would be like “who’s that weird guy” 😂 but shit I’d raise my hand

That is the truth. Expression is rock n roll not great hair or perfect covers.
