The importance of keeping Justin Fields in Chicago is multi-faceted. Fields has shown leadership qualities that have resonated with the team. His teammates have praised his increased leadership which is crucial for team chemistry and overall performance. On the other hand, bringing in Caleb Williams could potentially disrupt this chemistry. While Williams has shown promise in college, transitioning to the NFL is a different challenge altogether. There are instances where Williams’ actions have raised questions about potential impacts on team chemistry. Coaching has indeed been a significant issue in Chicago. The Bears have had a history of instability in their coaching staff. When the Bears switched their defensive coordinator, the defense’s performance improved. This suggests that the problem may not lie with the players, but with the coaching. If we apply the same logic to the offensive side, it’s reasonable to speculate that a change in offensive coordinator could lead to improved performance. The current offensive coordinator, Luke Getsy, has faced criticism for inconsistency and struggles to adjust in-game. A more competent offensive coordinator could potentially bring out the best in Fields and the rest of the offense, much like the defensive coordinator switch did for the defense. keeping Fields, improving the coaching staff, and maintaining team chemistry could be key to the Bears’ future success. However, these are complex issues that require careful consideration and strategic decision-making. The uncertainties in the NFL landscape further underscore the importance of making informed, logical decisions rather than banking on unproven “generational talents”. Dude has yet to play a snap in the NFl, media throws the world around every draft class with no accountability and it sickens me. They're selling a product to the masses and the new shiny toy is the ticket to the uneducated casuals.

I think people have a hard time evaluating QB's for what they are. Fields by all accounts seems to be a very mature and good person. He has all the tools to be great. However, his tape shows he is consistently slow to identify the right read. He also holds onto the ball too long even when he has identified his read. Obviously, better coaching and more talent will make him better, but at this point he is still practically at a development stage of a rookie QB.
@KisutoJP
@KisutoJP 5 ай бұрын
I’ve watched every snap of his multiple times - despite having terrible support and playing on rosters in a rebuild with rookie coaches… he finds a way to be the entire offense. This year with DJ Moore and some Stability at offense line you see what he could be. And that’s not counting his insane athleticism… His stats don’t jump out but he really is that dude. There’s a reason the team loves him.
@djg1011
@djg1011 5 ай бұрын
Your comment means you don’t watch the Tape. Watch it again. He isn’t late. He is sacked or pressured because the interior of the line needs a guard and a center. Because the Bears only have one receiver who can play the hot route in DJ Moore if he is covered fields takes a Sack. Add in bad play calling based on the tools you have trying to show how smart the OC is instead of going to bread and butter causes you to lose. Think Jordan and the Bulls. They put the right pieces around their star. Jordan was limited as a shooter initially which is why he worked on his shot. Once he mastered the fade away beyond his talent he because the killer. Get Fields the right piece in Harrison and step back it’s been nice seeing you. Really think. Tune out all the garbage analysis to increase likes. And look with your own eyes not what they tell you.

Observations: 1) Imagine Caleb Williams being coached by Brllichik. He would cry to his mom the first day of training camp. BB wants Penix.: grown up, accurate, crafty, mentally tough 2. Imagine The Falcons with Ben Johnson as HC and Fields as QB under a dome. plan B , the falcons get Harbaugh and pair him up with JF1 . Harbaugh would design an offense for him. 3. Eberflus is a DC, not a HC. Whoever is the Bears HC needs to be an offensive guy. Ben Johnson in Chicago with Fields could work , or with Penix.

Tom is kinda right, you must evaluate Justin Fields with respect to the coaching staff and the players around him (both on offense and defense). Would you be better off adding weapons around him or replacing him with the existing weapons? Would a better coaching staff actually be better for Justin Fields? Case in point is the history and development of Herbert vs. Tua. Initially, everybody said Herbert was better. Miami was wanting a change of QB under Flores. Instead Miami changed HC to McD, added Tyreek Hill and players that fit McD's scheme. Now, the situation is reversed : Tua is in Pro Bowl along with 5 other players. Herbert isn't even consideration for MVP or Pro Bowl. Another case the two QBS that came after in Zach Wilson and Trey Lance. Are the 49ers and Jets better? Both organizations came down to the HC and coaching staff. Both got rid of their QBs and went with a steady late and round QB and a old veteran has been. The former continues their dominance and the latter continues to look for next year. If I were Chicago owner, I evaluated Justin Fields as sufficient and needs mores weapons both in players and coaches. Take Marvin Harrison Jr with 1st overall unless I can trade down and still get him. At least, get a better OC as I don't see a better HC candidate. No, Belichick or Harbaugh is not better. Look at Brian Dabol at how he handles his second year with all the drama in Daniel Jones (and now hilariously Tommy Dimes) and Saquon Barkley. Compare him with McD in his second year. I think it's more on the HC and coaching staff to state first to me what their plans are, if not I make a coaching change.

Everyone in the NFL still knows Herbert is better than Tua though. Tua was being held back, and now Herbert is. But Fields problems have nothing to do with Coaching. It's the same issues he's had since college. He is who he is, and his ceiling is lower because of it imo.
@jihyotwice3159
@jihyotwice3159 5 ай бұрын
@@savage4242 While I respect your opinion, you must stop using qualifiers and absolute judgment to support your opinion such as "everybody in the NFL", " Is better than and still is", "ceiling". You use them qualifiers and judgement without giving any explanation or arguments to support your position. Who or what is holding Herbert back? Who or what held Tua back? I pointed to a mass coaching change in McD, change of schemes, and adding players to fit the scheme. That holds true on offense side and defensive side. Going from being ridiculed to Pro Bowl starter is a huge jump. What happened in Herbert's case? You can't say it was Brandon Staley and Telesco's fault after the fact since both have been fired. The jury is still out in Herbert's case so you can't say that Herbert has always and still is better than Tua when even now both are still developing. That goes the same for Justin Fields and pointing to his college results and ceiling as absolutes. Compare what you said to Brock Purdy and Tom Brady. How was Trey Lance held back and Brock Purdy flourishing? All are under one coach. Again, they are still developing except for Tom Brady. In Justin's case, I pointed to a possible scheme or coaching change along with adding Marvin Harrison Jr to develop as weapons but who knows that maybe adding a stout IOL or OT in the later rounds may do the trick. Again, it's not an absolute thing but more a wholesome approach, IMO. Thank you for your opinion.

So why isn’t Justin just as valuable as Jalen hurts or Josh Allen, they all struggled in their first two or three years… But they also had more talent and more experience with their coaches and your basing Justin Fields on lesser talent, less experience coaching… But it’s a fact that some of these games would have been losses if Justin Fields wasn’t the quarterback… And that’s what you need to know he can turn an OK team into a very good team and a very good team into a great team the more talent they have… He’s so young and it’s only his second season so don’t throw that away that’s foolish it’s idiotic and makes no sense… And it will piss off the fan base… This is a story I want to see and I want to follow through on it because I believe this is the quarterback at the Chicago Bears have needed for decades

Here is the thing let’s go logically. if Caleb Williams is so Generational why aren’t the Chiefs Trading with The Bears? How about The Bengals ? The Ravens ? They could reset their Qb Market ? But they are not ? Why ? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush?
@djg1011
@djg1011 5 ай бұрын
Exactly any idiot that says the Bears should take Caleb Williams is Silly. That’s exactly how absurd anyone who says that sounds. You even strengthened my point. Eagles stuck with Jalen Miami with Tua. Bills with Josh. I don’t see the Chargers moving off Herbert. And he has went to the playoffs once and they lost a 28 point lead. You dont move off a qb because u stripped the team down to garbage. I don’t want Caleb Williams. Most bears fans don’t because we know what we see and we saw Caleb get blown out in college twice Notre Dame 48 to 20 at the college level UCLA blew em out. and Twain other teams almost blew them out but winded up winning by 2 scores. Add in that USC opponents got the most part are all garbage. Stanford. Colorado. UCLA. Washington. Mind you that’s college not the NFL. So again do u see Any Reid Trading Patrick Mahomes for the generational Qb of Caleb Williams.? No so why should the Bears do it? Think back to Troy Aikman and the cowboys. Year three they started by turn it around. How is this different ? In year 2 really because the first year was Nagy and Justin didn’t start. The Bears got blown out twice. This year the Packers and the Chiefs. That’s it. If the play calling had been better the Bears win 4 more games. Broncos Detroit Tampa Bay and Cleveland. Broncos game they never accounted for Number 0. In the Second half that’s a scheme issue. Tampa Bay the Guy calls three screens back to back in the last 2 min and calls one inside the Endzone. Detroit game instead of going for it they keep kickinh it and calling screens. Running the same plays Didn’t help in that game that the left tackle for Detroit was allowed to false start three times on the two minute drive but I digress. Cleveland there were two major late hits on fields and one of them was on the Hail Mary to end the first half. Not only would that have put them in field Goal range the half cant end on a defensive penalty. Stop listening to analysts and watch and analyze the game urself.

We all get that Ron Rivera has gone through a lot and obviously he seems like a great guy. But you cannot include those things into the equation when deciding whether somebody is the right coach for a team or is somebody you'd want as a coach. I would draw a similar comparison with Monty Williams in the NBA. Great guy but clearly needed to go in phx and is struggling mightily in Detroit. Same instance where I respect the person immensely but that doesn't mean that We can just ignore results on game days. That's just not the way these businesses work

You would really want Kirk cousins over Justin Fields? Would you really want Derek Carr over Justin Fields? Would you really want Jimmy Garoppolo over Justin Fields? Knowing the high ceiling that Justin Fields has knowing the kind of explosive mind blowing escape moves and runs he’s able to do and some of the greatest passes I’ve seen in a long time And he makes it look easy… And you want to get rid of that with a ceiling so high in exchange for someone who is not nearly as good who aren’t going to improve but Justin can get better so much better it’ll be scary once he figures everything out and has enough talent around him he’s going to make it look easy And I don’t care if he’s not a 300 yard pass it doesn’t matter to me if they have 250 yards 100 yards running and the team has 200 yards total rushing who cares just win the game the defense is going to play better they will get more talent and be the number one defense again and the offense will start to catch up

Let’s get a real one going here. Answer the question based on the facts. If this was Michael Jordan pretty much yep everyone fell over for the dude. Jordan never got blown out in college where the competition is less go watch the Notre dame game. Oh wait you probably think we should have Justin Herbert.
