My Dad passed away one year ago. He was the most precious, the most loveable and the strongest person I’ve ever known and I’ll never love anyone else the way I love him. He is and will always be my hero. He gave me a forever in 17 years and all I can be is grateful for my childhood that he made priceless. All the lines of this song reminded me of him. Okay wow, now with the video the song hits even more. It’s strange how fast this year went by. There is so much that happened. The song with the video reminds me of my whole year but when I only listen to the song I can only think of one thing that happened in this year and is still happening. It’s somehow experiencing another sort of love this year. It’s crazy because I know that this love will probably never happen in a relationship. What can I say... I fell in love with him so deeply. It’s when you’re not like „oh my god, he‘s so pretty and lovely“. I felt bounded to him. When you meet him you think he is in love with himself and thinks he‘s better than everyone else, but when I was alone with him I could see him. Quiet and sad. And alone and completely confused how to live. When I looked into his eyes I saw myself. It’s hard because his soul is young but the time made his outsides much older. He‘s my teacher. I miss talking to him so much. How we spend hours talking after school, I miss every minute and second talking to him. How he always understood and told me about him. This song is different. The video makes me think of other things that happened. Maybe the fact that I found myself a little more and that I met the beautiful Matthew Maltese, who‘s in this video too what makes me very happy. It reminds me of what got lost and what I found this year. I‘m just happy that I made another year with you Tom Thank you :)

It has been a year. So much change. I lost friends, family, structure and myself. And 2020 will be my HSC year so I am so very scared. I have always been quite and timid but I have been trying to push that away. But at the same time suppress all emotions and thoughts to try to save a suicidal friend and get through the stressful times. Within that I did loose a bit of who I was. My social anxiety and depression acted up, and to top that off by suppressing my emotion I developed an eating disorder. But we all must scale our mountains. And once at the top nobody will remember or care about a mundane job, bad essay or a night of good sleep. We must learn to know the essential things in life and to accept everyone's differences. Stretch marks and body fat and acne who cares. Its our bodies and its beautiful. In this labyrinth of life, it may seem inescapable and constricting but we can navigate it together. Heres to 2019 and a hopeful 2020. I love everyone very dearly. Good luck to you all xx
