So true, I was watching Tom closely as he flew, if I blinked at the wrong time would miss the lightning fast roll.

It's a wingaron. The entire wing is the roll control.

Is that a kit or plans built? Where did you get kit or plans for glider?
@Planekrazy12 жыл бұрын
I don't know if it was built from a kit or plans. The glider belongs to Tom Leach, the gentlemen flying it in the video, and he may be reached via PM on RCG for details.

@@Planekrazy1 It was designed by myself, back in the early 2000's. Fuselage comes from a mold, and wings are carbon and fiberglass vacuum bagged over a foam core. The original molds were sold and resold years ago, and I have no idea where the are now. Back in the day, about a dozen Ultrons were produced in the original run. Since then, more got built as the molds circulated around. I don't know if Tom's is an original, or a more recent build.

Brian, thank you so much for posting here and sharing with us origins and construction method of your Ultrons, over 2 decades ago. You designed a great flying twisty, flies super. I heard Tom mention Joe Cormier but do not recall if that was about molds or horizontal tail or something else. It was a blast to watch this amazing glider being flown through its paces by a great pilot. Big smiles from everyone watching your Ultron's crazy fast rolls.

@@Planekrazy1 Joe Cormier probably made the wings and tails for Tom. I have no idea where Tom might have acquired his fuselage. it's nice to see that there are Ultron's out there that are still flying.

This one is one of the originals produced. I picked the kit up from Doug and built it. I originally built it as a wingeron, Tom has since changed it over the pitcheron.

Seems it can't decide if it's an airplane or a propeller. I think you're airplane is having an identity crisis.
