I am with you, David. I, too, absolutely love Tom Sawyer's Island. I can't imagine Disneyland without it. I only get to Disneyland once a year if that, but I have been coming since 1974. The Island is a haven, a respite for adults and kids to decompress and at the same time burn off that restless energy from waiting in lines and moving slowly through crowds.

I’m sure others have said this, but for those of us who live miles away (I’m in New Zealand) watching your walk through videos are so special. I can only dream of coming back to Disneyland, so to get to live it through here is awesome. Provost Park pass was my fave, but you’re fast becoming a fave too 😊

Disneyland is IT!! No other Disney or amusement park holds a candle to this park. It is the Best, and can be better. Bring Back: Skyway (skylift around Materhorn) PEople Mover (circle Carosal of Progress with huge VR Displays) and make Autotopia a race tract where 2 cars race each other. So much more...

Thanks for going on Tom Sawyer’s island. I just love that place. I wil revolt if they get rid of this at Disneyland. Unfortunately a lot of people don’t appreciate the beauty of it.

Wonderful vid. Forgot how cool the Jungle Cruise is...yeah, the piranha need to be fixed. It's great the the shooting gallery is still there > REAL old school. Without a 'crowd', the island ( and river ) really do have a serene, transformative quality...that you're not in the middle of one of the largest urban complexes on the planet... So it's sad to here the rumors of all this being filled in for Zootopia ( supposed announcements at the next D23). What will they do with the Mark Twain & Columbia when this ROA is filled in ??......../s 😅 p.s. Seriously, maybe Disneyland can poach a lot of ROA 'items' from Florida to use on the island or along the river banks. They can certainly use the Florida powered rafts as 'spares & parts'.

Wow! The cast requirements for DL have changed dramatically. When I worked on the Tom Sawyer Raft and the Keel Boats, there was no long hair or facial hair. Walt had a reason for that back in the day, and you can see how the newer park management has lost Walt's vision.

It looks like (according to the Disneyland calendar) in addition to Jungle Cruise, Small World will also be closed during the second half of September as well. Bummer that two big boat ride attractions will be down at the same time!

I have the idea that Tom sawyers Island gets turned into Disenyland's Villains Land with Maleficent's castle and coaster and they keep the water for light shows and it acts as a moat. But I also think grizzly peak get turned into Avatar or it provides the base to build Avatar on. Fun to imagine 😊

I think the biggest problem with Tom Sawyer Island is the raft. If there was a tunnel under the river in addition to the raft ride over, it would probably be popular.

I can't believe the RoA is slated to be removed from the MK in Orlando. However, I read a comment that the ferry boats used by many visitors to arrive at the front gate of the MK offset the value of the RoA's Liberty Belle boat. Maybe. Still, something is off about what they're planning to do.

Were there any parents with those kids on the Omnibus?? I work at an elementary school, so I'm used to loud, disrespectful, idiotic kids as well as parents who literally think their child was gods gift to the planet, but jeez that was on its own level of annoying lol

@@jennifermcneil8349 Well it was a joke, hence the "lol" at the end. I was just surprised they didn't have an adult at least asking them to be a bit quieter. And secondly, you do realize that working at a school doesn't automatically make you a teacher, right? There's plenty of other jobs needing to be done at an elementary school with 700+ students enrolled. I love all the kids and wouldn't have been there for years if I didn't. Apologies for offending with my joke, I do have to admit I shoulda worded it better.
