I don't understand how surgeons are able to do their jobs. I'm alive because a G.I. surgeon removed my entire colon. I wouldn't be alive just 100 years ago. It was 4 hours straight of _just_ cutting and spreading muscles to reach my colon. I don't know how someone can perform these surgeries and not get completely creeped out. I'll feel a cringe through my spine if I'm restricting my blood flow for too long and imagine damage to my veins or if I think about hitting my nerves or tendons. I'll think about it a lot and it creeps me out too much

I'm almost 7 feet tall and my patella sits out of place at all times. I would love to be able to have that surgery where they re-attach the tendon, but I'll never be able to afford it. Great to see Tom getting fantastic medical care!

Such a wild injury lol. What's crazy to me is seeing the plates and screws actually inside and in use. I'm a machinist and make medical implants like these. Those screws look exactly what we make at my shop haha.

The fact that some members of society can do stuff like this is legitimately bonkers.

This Surgeon has a great personality. He could write a great stand up or just have a KZbin channel reviewing injuries or movie scenes or even a podcast. Guy is very charismatic. Way to show him some love and appreciation here Tom. There is a mutual respect for sure.

@@ubertalldude I said he could not that he should. Big difference. Was just shouting out his personality and charisma. Do you think anyone would actually suggest that a very successful surgeon/ partner in a surgical practice should start doing open mic nights. He worked hard to earn the ability to do whatever he wants.

Bring back these Tom Talks series. Tom has an impeccable for interviewing. He can be both joking and very serious at the same time. Bring more intellectuals on, and he'll ask very strong and insightful questions. Do it tom. Do it !!!

I knew coming into this I would wince. The whole thing has been so hard to watch. I love that Tom has handled it pretty much exactly as I would’ve expected and turned it into comedy and entertainment
