you absolutely CAN pour dry concrete and add water. However you do need to stir it in the ground to release air pocketing. and yes it would not be recommended in south fl because you do not want to pour dry concrete into sand.

Quikrete says to use 4 of their 80 pound bags to set just one 4” post in a 36” deep hole. That’s absurd. To fit four 80 pound bags your hole with have 3 feet wide by 36 inches deep.

...at least, before hammering the plastic poles with a steel hammer; put a block of wood (on top of the 'delicate' plastic pole) for it, not to get smear ...my opinion!

Leave any bag of concrete out in the rain, they all get rock hard over time

Why don’t you mix the concrete first? You pour The bag in the hole and add water??? Doesn’t seem right. Doesn’t seem like it will mix.

It's supposed to mix up first you're right the guy did it wrong and he put concrete inside the hole and not supposed to put nothing inside the hall cuz it cracks or in the winter

IDK who told you that it’s ok to throw a bag of dry concrete and then throw water on top and let it “soak-in”. 🤦🏽‍♂️ That is never acceptable. You absolutely must mix the concrete with the right amount of water per bag. You pretty much wasted all that concrete and I’m sure your fence is super weak below the surface, where it matters. I hope you don’t live in South FL.

I’ve been installing for over 20 years and recently moved to NW Florida and nothing here fence wise is done to specs by any one and I’ve been to a few fence companies and all a joke. Let’s start with this no vinyl fence posts should be less then 3’ in the ground 2’ just isn’t enough and using 60# over 80# is a joke and only to use a single 60# bag on gates posts and also only one insert on the swing since even more crazy so when self closing they move so badly and loose all its structure !!!! There is a tool called the block it’s a very large thick poly block that sits on top of the post to drive it down if need be, also no good vinyl fence should have 4x4 posts ever !!! I could go on and on and on and diy guys are complete clowns !!!!
