the paper he (tries) to read (minute 1:28) it’s actually in portuguese, it says “we inform our dear clients that we’re closed for changing facilities. we reopen at may 6 (wednesday) on the floor 0, shop 117. we’re sorry for the inconvenience. the manager” He’s actually in portugal and that’s “Vilafranca Center”, it’s abandoned for almost 11 years. I used to go there when I was a kid, really good memories you brought bro🫶🏼

@@DhrubajyotiDas-us9vw that’s actually a really good story. it was supposed to be the biggest mall in portugal, and it is in the city. it was designed in 1994 and it was supposed to have like 4 floors, 180 shops and 3 cinemas. it would also bring the, at the time, new IMAX, which was like a dream to Portugal because as much as we are a developed country, we’re small. And that was actually the big problem, is was to risky for us, it was to big. The big project was almost like 17 million euros, we didn’t had that money. At the time the Center was a dream for us, the newest technology, the clothes, the shoes, but got very expensive because of the high maintenance, so people stopped going there. it began to be robbed and vandalized, people got scared and left all behind(it “closed” in 2013). Nowadays it’s still know for like “the big opportunity for our small reality”. that’s pretty much it, hope it helped.🫶🏼
