For anyone curious, Tomato recently (April 2024) talked about his cubital tunnel syndrome again and he 100% resolved the issue on his own without surgery. He can’t do certain exercises that put excess strain on the nerves, and continues to be careful about what pressure he puts on his elbows, but no issues. From a medical professional to everyone else: This is your reminder to get a second opinion if you can afford to do so, and to do your own research before surgery (provided it isn’t an emergency situation)

whats actually funny about the whole not going down with the boat will get you fined was actually the truth behind captains going down with the ship. It was never a matter of honor, it just used to be if the captain survived, he and his family would owe the government the cost of the vessel and be forever in debt. In order to avoid this massive fine, captains would go down with the ship so they can let their families live a normalish life.
