While not exactly normal, it’s implied that Laura has a completely normal town, besides it just having no people. She never talks about monsters, she never gets attacked by monsters, she treats silent hill like a playground, even though she’s the one you’d most expect to be affected by the insanity of silent kill.

The PC port without the fan patch has really bad fog effects, and the fan patch can be very finicky to install, assuming you even know about it.

Silent Hill drowns you in "handy gun" bullets though. I would say that RE is way more stingy, especially in the beginning of the games before the shotgun ammo becomes common. Edit-I'm sure they expect players to take on more monsters(aka the roaming ones), but the only monsters worth taking out are in dungeons. So in Silent Hill games, you end up with plenty of ammo for the dungeons.

@@GachakoiThomas I played the 1st one when it came out and it was pretty stingy with the bullets also lots of narrow corridors so hard to run by some guys, RE 1-4 on hard is about as stingy as it gets either gotta get good at dodging or stabbing

@@solaireofastora7178 RE4 on professional isn't really stingy at all(as long as you have guns for every ammo type). RE1 early game is definitely there. I agree that RE is less forgiving than Silent Hill will ever be(Silent Hill also has reliable/low skill melee weapons) Edit-If you meant the 1st Silent hill, you just need to explore the overworld a bit more they have tons of handgun bullets before you even hit the school. Just ignore roaming enemies(which usually are super easy to dodge in the streets at least).

I came here thinking it was Resident Evil 2 because the guy sorta looked liked the cop, it was when the guy was leaning on the wall looking at the water and the sad music plus monologues were going on that I thought to myself, “I don’t think this is Resident Evil.”, then I quickly made the connection that I was instead watching a much less interesting and fun game.
