Enjoyed seeing that. I never knew you could use the green ones.

I'm north of you before Gainesville and I grow these tomatoes in large containers I tie them up and get them 6-8 feet up with lots of pinching. I get larger fruit because I pinch off the last bloom on the bunches. They grow right in front of my rockers on my porch so I'm always plucking at them. They are very prolific and I always have bowls of fruit for sauces. I blend them and pour through a strainer--lots of seeds but the best tasting rich sauce for any recipe. This sauce freezes well too. I have always have volunteers, more then I can share. They are the only tomatoes that I can grow down here. Going to try the pickling of green ones. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Gama Yeesah great tip with pinching off the last bloom! I will definitely try this! We were wondering about making sauce! Will definitely try this at my next harvest! Not sure it’s worth it to stress over other tomatoes when these are so easy and plentiful! Just may change my thoughts on tomato gardening! I was out last night and found another volunteer in our banana pit! Lol love it! 💚💚💚

Glad to see you back. Do tomatoes have to be cut before drying? The everglades tomato sounds enticing. I googled it. Victory Seeds, which I believe to be a reputable seed company, offers a packet of 20 seeds. If I can figure out a place to plant one, I may get some.

Tricia McDonald I tried a few whole and they were still very moist after 8 hours in the dehydrates. I imagined me if I left them go another 4 hours they would have dried. I had to go to bed! Lol It definitely takes a spot where they can really spread out! Thanks for joining in on our fun! 😍
