For those who don’t know storm surge starts damaging you if you don’t damage players so players found an advantage were they knocked a player then pickaxed him once then healed him with the slurp cacti epic removed it because they thought people were going to do it again the first time this happened was in the “WILDS” season hope this helps!

the real reason is because people would base up on cacti and then trade damage with other teams with cacti, theremore making the storm surge threshold much higher than normal. this puts teams that land on the south side of the map at a massive advantage and people on the north side of the map a really hard time gathering storm surge

The reason why they made it so they don't regenerate anymore is because people were just camping there and when they got damaged they would just use the slurp cactus over and over and over again which made it to op

the real reason they removed the slurp cacti is because duos in the grands can knock a player, shoot the knocker player for surge, and then heal the body with the knocked body, they had the same situation last chapter for s3 with the slurp plants

I don't understand how this is a big deal to pros. I'm not a pro, I have a 10% win rate, and I don't need the cactus. I carry med kits and shields, can't image why a pro wouldn't. You have 5 slots. That's med kits, shields, a special item, a long range weapon, and a short range weapon. Easy. I only use the cactus when I'm in a car and things aren't going well lol
