@@HypeTrain-Follow Yeah I went to the World Championships in Berlin last year with two friends, none of us beatbox but ive been following it since 2003 and everyone was so welcoming, but also very perplexed why we were there as we didn't beatbox. Genuinely nice people though. Everyone hangs out together, even all the artists. If you get a chance to go to any event, even US champs you should definitely go. You could do a Live reaction ;) Also if you want any ideas for Beatbox videos that would blow your mind and haven't had any reaction videos let me know :), Ive got quite a few in mind. great channel btw, there's only a couple of decent channels that react to beatbox videos regularly so thanks. Also good to see more non beatboxers watching and enjoying all the content. Essay over lol

In every battle they do a coinflip and who ever wins the coinflip chooses who starts first (usually they choose to go second so they can answer to the other beatboxer's routine ) . Then there are 2 rounds of 1:30minutes each . After both rounds the 5 judges pick the winner (not always a unanimous choice , the votes can go 5-0 4-1 3-2)

General Information about the Grand Beatbox Battle. There are 3 rounds of battles, quarter finals, semi finals, and then small and grand final. Each solo battle consists of 2 times 90 seconds for each beatboxer with the possibility for the judges to allow for overtime if the decision is drawed. To make it to the battles you have to get through the elimation round there are somewhere around 16 elim spots. 4 of which are granted to previous years top 4 (some years only top 3) To qualify for the elims you need to submit a wildcard video and be among the 10 best. The upcoming gbb had over 200 wildcards submitted, just for the solo category, of which only 10 made it through. Each round that you hear have been planned out in advance and practiced hundreds of times. You can check D-Lows livestream, if you want a better idea of what practicing is like. :)

Beatbox Battles generally happen like this. First round for the first person. Then the opponent does his/her first. The first person does their round 2. Then the opponent goes for their 2nd. Judges judge on 5 categories for live battles such as this. You say that its freestyle so it's hard to judge you say. But these categories should explain. Musicality - How musical Technicality - How difficult the beats are put together Performance - How the beatboxers are on stage. Not lifeless. Crowd interaction. Flow - How cleanly the beat transitions from one part to the next flawlessly. This takes some interpretation but the judges are years long experts so its trusted they'll figure it out. Structure - How it composes over the round. A start middle and end. It can tell a story. It can build. It shouldn't sound thrown together. Hope this helps. I'm a beatboxer myself and have performed on stage so I'd say relatively expirenced in this area. Also his name is pronounced Tom- ah- zach- ah- ree. Thanks guys

I've been watching these since 2017 when Napalm won solo championship. If you wish to branch out to other titles in GBB, then I reccomend the loopstation multiverse beatbox battle 2019 Brez vs Inkie. Still a Swissbeatbox organized event, only with highly skilled beatboxers who use loopstations. Brez and Inkie are both highly skilled looping beatboxers who people had wanted to fight for a long time. That's what this is.
