Fun tomb raider lore both her parents are alive in this time line. They cut her off cause she was supposed to go into an aranged marriage but she was more into adventure. Also the monkeys attacked you because youre closer to the artifact, it drives animals and people insane.

Hey, the blue crystals are just collectibles. They used to be save points but now that you can save anywhere they're just collectibles. Also there are no dragons as secrets. Secrets are just items, just like in tomb raider 1. Also if you press the left stick while you move you can sprint.

Oh thank god, you went with a brief run-through of the assault course. The gym itself explains the controls. So it's worth noting, here are some movement tips: -You can sprint with R2 I believe. Have to be moving while doing it, and the game can't be finished without it. *USE THIS!* -While sprinting, you can do a rolling vault by hitting... I think jump or roll? It's not needed all too often, but it lets you potentially move Lara over traps while sprinting. -Lara can slide into a crawl from sprinting. Not needed often, but if you're being chased by a boulder and need to get into a crawlspace then... -By pressing either sprint or roll while crouching, Lara will roll forward. This is MUCH faster than crawling on your hands and knees. *USE THIS!* -When there's an exit ledge in a crawlspace, you can turn around and drop to a shimmy. I think you have to hold Square to back up while crawling. *USE THIS!* -OR you can face forward, and I think hit forward + jump to roll forward out of the gap. *USE THIS!*

This 3rd one completes the original trilogy nicely. The music, the story and the baddies, your gonna have fun with this one

- Blue crystals were a bit like ink ribbons from RE in the console game. You could consume one to make a save anywhere you wanted. It's the main reason why TR3 was considered super hard back then; if you didn't manage them correctly you could get f**ed pretty bad. - You can now sprint by holding R2 on a playstation controller / RT on an xbox controller / ZR on a switch controller. Something "useless" but cool, if you press or hold down on the stick or d pad while sprinting Lara would stop by sliding (probably tank controls only since it would make you run toward the screen on modern). Otherwise just releasing the trigger will make Lara decelerate a bit slower. - When you're knelt, before crawling, you can also make a small leap forward by pressing R2 / RT / ZR (sprint button) + forward to make her proceed a bit faster than crawling if she has room for it. An action that only arrived in TR5 but they added it here. - Don't forget about the monkey bar action, it is often used throughout the game. So if you feel stuck somewhere, look up and you might realize you can grab onto something. - To make you feel even worse about the monkey. You didn't need to kill them when they took your health pack, actually if you'd follow them, they'd drop it somewhere that could potentially be a secret area or a hint on how to progress, you vile monkey murderer :p.

First level already overwhelmed me with how open it was xD This will be a fun game

-Within the very first MINUTE of the game, there are two easily-missable secrets. Such is TR3. Good job on getting one of them, and 5/6 overall!! -The blue crystals (as I'm sure you've heard) were the only way to save in the original. You could save 96 times in the entire game. Now they're a collectable! -There is an extra level at the end of the game if you collect all the secrets. However, it's... sadistically difficult to achieve that, so unless there's cheats feel free to forget about it! -The monkeys are like the Monks from TR2.They will be hostile from now on, but they're not very tough so whatevs. -Poison can ONLY be cured by medipacks, yes. TR3 has new mechanics like poison and -This game is much more open, and many times there are two or three ways to proceed. For example, at 27:30 you can enter the temple area without entering the water by opening the locked hatch you immediately found. Sometimes, one way will be dramatically harder but offer more pickups, or one way will have just traps and the other way will have just enemies. -People will likely be yelling "Nevada first!" at you in the comments. Up to your discretion whether to do so, the remaster somewhat fixed what they're talking about. Somewhat. The real Tomb Raider 3 begins now! HYPE!!!

As others have said , the crystals have no practical value. They're just there for the achievement - grab as many as you can (in the original console games, they were save crystals - you had to use one if you wanted to save! In the original PC version, the crystals were health power-ups which would restore you to full health when you grabbed them). Oh - and you should really figure out how to make Lara sprint (it's a new TR3 move) - it's critical to learn, otherwise some traps will be impossible to avoid and some timed puzzles will be impossible to solve. Oh - and Flares can definitely save your life in TR3 - and they can reveal clues for solving some puzzles too. Have fun! Already looking like an entertaining watch. 🙂

Lol that was some sneeze! Are all your sneezes that powerful? 😲😜 By the way, when you're in the water you can press the O button on the Playstation or I think B on the Xbox (not sure of the buttons on PC) and Lara will flip herself around which is quicker than turning, incidentally it's the very same button you would use, along with the L stick, to make Lara do a jump-flip to make her face the opposite way while she's in mid-air. Don't forget that you can always tell when you've discovered a secret when you hear that distinct sound @11:11 @15:19 Lol those aren't flowers those are supposed to be a type of fungus (I forgot the name for that particular type). Lol no, Lara has been ENVENOMED. Venom is actively delivered via bites 🐍 and stings 🐝whereas poison is an inedible substance that is passively delivered (through ingestion or skin absorption i.e. touching a poison arrow frog 🐸). Sorry, just couldn't resist lol 😉. Those blue things are save crystals which were in the TR1 OG. They no longer serve a purpose in New Game due to the fact that you can save anywhere, but on NG+ they are there and are you're only means of saving (and healing), you didn't see them in TR1 for that reason. It's a shame because I would have loved to have had the option to have used them during NG and not solely on NG+ (which is basically hard mode; not too bad early on but on later levels it's an absolute nightmare)*. *In TR you didn't pick up the save crystals you just interacted with them to save and then they would disappear; In TR3 you could collect them (TR2 you could save anywhere). Can't remember if I mentioned this before but in NG+: - Enemies have more health. - Enemies do way more damage while Lara does less. - You have to use the blue Save Crystals to save in TR1 and TR3. - Medipacks are disabled and replaced with ammo so you can only fully heal via Save Crystals.

People have said already but yes make sure to utilise sprint, jumping out of crawl spaces and the roll-forward-in-crouch-mode, as well as more flare action than previous games. There is no hand holding in this game (as you experienced with not seeing what doors were opened with levers). Also, don't forget to utilise back flips and side flips during combat! Most levels in this game have 1--3 paths of exploration, so it's definitely the most replayable in my opinion. I've been playing since 1998 and this year saw areas I never had before! I love how cinematic this game feels - the music, set pieces, landscape detailing and atmosphere really step up!

This was a surprise to see on the feed. Forget about TR2, TR3 is the next level; it got the title one of hardest game ever, with many switches, going back and forth, traps, and hidden stuff and pick which path you will go and will you miss sicret and wepon😂 Sicrets are those chimes you hear, and they contain weapons or/and ammo and can be quite sometimes hard to find. Crystals are just collectables and to remaind us back then how hard this was to play; it was so to speak save point. In TR3, the best gun is the Desert Eagel sometimes all you will need is one or two bullet max three. Good luck finding it!😆 you will see what awits you on new frontier, good luck and remember keep calm

42:02 So...there's a recent interview done by a streamer where this TR3 dev talks about those monkeys, and how in the 1st level they guide you to levers and hidden items. But then in the 2nd level all of a sudden they become hostile. I don't remember the details, but he explains how things turned out.

Aww the poor Monkey's. If you allow the Monkey's to take an item they will guide you to the correct path then drop the item there once they've helped you. Incredibly hard to know that but yeah the monkeys are genuinely helping you progress the level......IF you don't shoot them in the face

Crystals are the saving points in ps versions of the old games. They do nothing in pc or maybe load up your health bars if I remember correctly.

Been waiting for you to start playing this one. TR3 is very tricky. Really difficult at points and you get lost a lot. Many areas have more than one way to get through them which makesit interesting for a second playthrough. You are doing great. But I wanna advise you on one thing. Always stand and use the look button around you. And since you didn’t do the manor tutorials, make note that there is also sprinting in this game so you will be needing that alot 👍

People will tell you to do Nevada after India because of something regarding weapons ammo, you don't need to do this anymore & can freely choose any location & get your stuff back at any time since it's been fixed in the remaster, you'll see what I mean...i recommend choosing London after India levels as the other sections are better & better to leave some of the good levels later. BTW the longer the parts the better, love watching classic tomb raider
