Palace Midas in 6:49. Several shortcuts used in this one:
- Corner bugs to the switch ledge.
- Corner bug in the spike room.
- Slope bug to the roof.

Just out of curiosity, how many times have you accidentally impaled Lara on the spikes when attempting the corner bug on that gray pillar? ; P Nice work, nice work. Man, I just love watching these speedruns that turn our tank-like heroine into a nimble antelope. So graceful.

@ShadowxMaker i now this convo is old, but I think he was actually referring to the secret in the level being played in this vid, found by flipping the hidden switch in the room that leads up to the Midas statue. It probably doesn't matter, but I just thought I'd clarify that ; )

Excellent! I love how at the end u have this whole herd of animals coming after u lol Palace Midas was one of my all-time fave levels, it's so huge, was shortened way too much in Anniversary!

Hi Rad, Another Tip.. U can make a swim bug in the room with the fires swim to the last pilar with fire on it and go to the corner of it .. make a swim bugg and make directly a flip to the right side. i timed it u win 4.39 seconds with it. Tr Speedrun :)

Ryan that last part was such an adrenaline rush! you had an entire zoo chasing you, GOOD SHOW!

You actually can die when jumping to the exit at the very end. Not from the animals but if you don't jump far enough down the slope to trigger the end, Lara can hit the slope and die if you have low health. It's happened to me once.

Thanks. Another runner was telling me its possible to go back the same way with the fires on without having to swim but you lose a little health and only save a second or 2 so I just stuck with this one.

i have a non-gameplay related question: if there is nothing laying around but spikes and gold bars...what have these animals been living off of?

I think once or twice, its actually easy to not hit them, but if you jump at a bad angle or are too far from the corner, then you can hit them.

I spent about a couple weeks the first time, trying to figure out those closed doors and not having any kind of guide to go by.

That used to be the faster way until the discovery of the slope bug which I did at 4:28 to get directly on the roof.

Don't have to. When jumping, Lara should start to get imbeded in the corner until she springs up to the ledge.
