Tomba! Low% Challenge

Yes, I've used the "Rewind" function a couple of times, but after all this is not to be posted on official leaderboards, but it's just a proof-of-concept/idea.
RULES
The idea is to complete the game by clearing as few events as possible and collecting as few items as possible.
Total AP points were not taken into consideration for this video.

Clear as few events as possible.
Merely finding unnecessary events is fine (and sometimes unavoidable), clearing 'em is not OK!
-- Items --
Collect as few items as you can.
FORBIDDEN ITEMS: weapons, gear, max life +1, bells.
ALLOWED ITEMS: quest items (ex: the chicks, the siren's necklace); charity wings (at least 3 of them are needed); healing items; keys; items collected by accident that don't impact the challenge (ex: Leaf Butterflies); items given to you by necessary NPCs but not needed to complete the challenge (ex: Charles's pants, Cheese).
By mistake I took a Max Life +1 but immediately rewinded that section, so it doesn't count.
CONCLUSIONS
1) The minimum events required to beat the game is 58 (57 in game, 1 cleared after capturing the last pig).
2) You can beat the game WITHOUT the Animal Dash and the Funky Parasol.
3) The only gear you need is: Normal Pants, Blackjack, Grapple.
4) Upon ending the game, I had these items (items marked with * are avoidable)
- Grandpa's Bracelet;
- Baron (given by the game when you beat the 7th Evil Pig);
- Million y.o. Key;
- Strong wire;
- 10.000 y.o. Key;
- Mighty Fish Food;
- Bucket *;
- Bananas *,
- Key to Ol'Pond;
- Charles' Pants;
- Grapple;
- 1.000 y.o. Key;
- Big Key;
- Small Key;
- Cheese;
- 1 Charity Wing;
- 100 y.o. Key;
- Blackjack;
- Normal Pants.
There is still room for improvement, some items can be avoided.
5) As already demonstrated by the Tomba Club, the less events you clear, the harder the last battle is...which is counterintuitive and contrary to video game logic, it should have been the opposite (more cleared events=harder battle).
6) Right before the end results, the game will give us some hints regarding the events we didn't find, to encourage us to explore better in future playthroughs.
