Thanks so much for this, i just began ballet this year and i feel so discouraged because all the other girls are so much better. I feel so behind and I want to practice at home i just dont know what to practice.

Don't get discouraged. Let that feeling be your motivation to keep working hard for what you want. You want to be a dancer, then keep fighting for it. I'll try to post more videos you can use. Subscribe to my channel... P.S. i didn't start dancing until i was 14. Way behind everyone else. And now I'm the dance director at the performing arts public school. It's not too late for you.

I have always thought that it is difficult to understand the difference between "grand jeté " and "saut de chat ". It's seems to be the same but I am not at all à spécialist ! I practice classical dance as an adult, just for my pleasure. Thank you for sharing the video. Isabelle. (from Belgium )

Isabelle, hi. there are different styles of ballet: Russian, Cecchetti, etc. I'm sure many could argue the differences. But it is my understanding that the Saut de chat uses a developpé for the ascending leg, while the grand jeté is achieved by using a grand battement of the ascending leg
