Thank you SO MUCH for this video!!! I never post in comment sections, but I truly appreciate this info! It is so hard to watch tons of videos to get this information. But Grace did an amazing job putting so much information on alcohol vs. water-based markers and how to use them both in ONE spot!

Great video. I love the Tombow brush pens I have. Grace gave a lot and I mean a lot of information. Loved the storage case options. Didn’t know I could store the either vertical OR horizontal. Thank you Becca for all these informational interviews you do.

Thank you ladies for this tutorial . I am a beginner, and as a home schooling “Nana”, was just trying to introduce different types of art . I am already rethinking this lettering idea. I feel like a four year old , and I am 74 ! I need to start at the real beginner level ❣️

I have had over a dozen solo art shows and after a few years on hiatus, I’m finding that I need to re-learn a lot of mediums from the _earliest_ of starting points! I’ve found that when it comes to art, you’re better off if you go back to the beginning anyway :) it helps us to re-learn the fundamentals that we’ve been skipping over for too long, which are there for a reason; and at least for me, it gives me a major boost in my creativity and drive when I am trying to figure out something new. KZbin is such a great resource for artists! Good luck, Nana!

Question: Some of my ABT dual brush pens say " acid free" and others say "water- based". What is the difference? Are all Tombow pens acid-free? Are only the ABT Pro alcohol based? Great video- I'm a newbie but this was great! Thanks for sharing all the tips and tricks for blending. Who knew??!
@letspaintandmore97384 жыл бұрын
water based tombows can easily blend and be diluted with water. all tombow ABT brush pens are acid free. but tombow ABT PRO brush pens are alcohol based. hope this answered your question :)

It is my understanding that it the best way to store pens varies from type to type. I personally store everything flat so I can keep them in my desk drawers.
@rainbomg2 жыл бұрын
I think as a general rule, horizontally is the safest bet bc alcohol based inks will evaporate if stored vertically.

Thank you! I was surprised that when asked how to pronounce it, she pronounced it incorrectly, the American way 🙈 just like people say "sa-ki" for sake!

@@taylorcothran3215 is it supposed to be sa keh?
@taylorcothran32152 жыл бұрын
@@rainbomg Yes! The sound of "ke" in Japanese is pronounced "kay" - sake is pronounced "sahkay." Same actually goes for karate and karaoke, the e is pronounced "ay": ka-ra-tay and ka-ra-oh-kay (not "karatee" or "kari-okee") 😊

How long did these markers last, before they dry out?
@JaneDoeowo3 жыл бұрын
Many years unless you use them for big projects. Don't dry up quick though. Can use some water to bring them back to life if they do. Great markers. My mom used them when I was growing up for scrapbooking and now I use them for watercoloring and drawing. Highly recommend

Still, I’d like to suggest that any future guests you have on your videos, especially a company rep, have a high-definition camera for interview and demonstration questions and a higher bandwidth connection. The pronunciation of Fudenosuke is wrong. Find someone who reads and speaks Japanese truly. It doesn't take too much effort to show respect.
