Sept 2014 a bunch of old trucks got together and drove over Tombstone Pass in Oregon. This is footage taken during the run.

Hello all, Just wanted to say I love these Tombstone Run videos. I have always liked big rigs, Buuuttt....I just have a soft spot and deep interest in logging trucks. Logging trucks have a special place in my heart. I am not a trucker (wanted to be one when I was younger) but life chose a different career for me. These old trucks have such a unique sound, and look like no other. The new trucks (basically anything year 2000 on is new to me,even 1995 is considered "newer") Ive seen some new logging trucks working out of Stanislaus County... Sonora area in California down in Beardlsey Lake (used to be Hartley lake way back in the 50's) and saw a couple new trucks logging down Forest rout 4N07,and was very disappointed in what I saw. I saw a newer Peterbilt from Sierra Pacific Industries coming down loaded, and it was probably the most disappointing vision of a log truck I have ever seen, ( and the most quiet Jake I've ever heard.) don't get me wrong it was nice and new, but did not have that nostalgic look, personality, and unique sounds from 20-30+ years previous (and definitely did not have that special smell of fresh timber and Diesel) All I could remember was trucks reminiscent in this video coming down (or up) this logging road. I appreciate these old trucks and the drivers who used to drive them (and that still own them in this video). This brings back some wonderful memories and some great friends we made. Log truck drivers are definitely a unique and highly skilled bunch Thank you...
