I agree with pretty much everything. Although that one short were Chen and Klaus are playing ping pong should be S tire . when Chen shouts winner then immediately gets crushed is some of the best comedic timing in all of Ninjago. Gets me every time.

7:56 I’m 100% sure Green and Gold is canon because we know for a fact that the the ultra dragon made it to the first realm because we see its corpse was made into the Iron Baron’s throne. So we know that it did go there and it didn’t end well. RIP Ultra Dragon.😢

The following shorts are canon: The Pilot shorts, the operation heavy metal shorts, the prime empire shorts, Golden Hour and the Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu, although some of those are told from the embelished imagination of the Ninja which is why they use the new designs for old events. The Golden Legend is debatably canon, as it could show a possible future for Ninjago. All else is non-canon.

About Zane's statue, DEFINITELY just because he returned that doesn't mean the statue is pointless, what Zane did was amazing. THANK YOU for talking about how the skybound shorts aren't accurate to the timeline. You can consider them canon as tales, but not as what we see because we saw modern Ninjago, Chen's arena and stuff (that because they used what they already animated). But the one with Squiffy and Bucko was 100% Nonsense because we saw on the season that they were Ninjago citizens who joined Nadakhan (WHY THEY WERE DRESSED ON PIRATES IN THE SHORT IF THEY WEREN'T?!

I loved the idea of the prime empire shorts connecting so perfectly to the season, how it sets stuff up for later and shows what happened to Jay when he first entered Prime Empire, it's cool that they tie in and you get a better experience with the season if you watch it with the shorts chronologically. Wish more seasons did that

I still find it so weird that "young Wu and Garmadon" from the short about the robe can only be about ten years ago, because Lloyd. Somehow Wu aged a lot in a really short timespan after staying young for centuries, maybe millenia before.

The "A day in the life of a golden ninja" short is such missed Potential. Just imagine how good it could been if it was a looner tunes/Tom and Jerry style. Would be so much fun to see how physics Just don't work and how brutal the characters are Treated. Here is my idea: the golden ninja and the dragon want to do their normal day Routine, but everytime their get interupted because some villains attack. It's start's With the ninja and the dragon who want to eat breakfast, but out of nowhere a bunch of villains apear. The ninja and the dragon fight the villain and at the same time trying to prepare breakfast and eat it. The whole short goes on with such absurd things and the episode ends with: "ah yes, a normal day in the life of a golden ninja...and his pet dragon!"
